Paper Rose also has a coated, slightly glossy finish.

Ugh. I was trying to scrap with Paper Rose yesterday and it made me crazy. It was so slick that stuff was sliding all over the place. It was making me angry. Their paper is very pretty but I hate that finish with a passion. This is the second month in a row NJFB used their papers and it sucks.
After I get these pages done I'm going to do a few Carte Bella pages just to cleanse the bad juju. I love the Carte Bella finish.

Given Colorplay is reportedly Photoplay's in-house brand, I would prefer the company use the same finish or differentiate between their two brands with weights/textures like Echo Park (i.e. Echo Park paper is 65 lb/smooth, while Carta Bella, a brand under the Echo Park umbrella, is 80 lb/linen).

I’m so glad to read this…I’ve noticed some of what I thought were Photoplay lines, having the glossy-ish finish. I was really bummed, thinking Photoplay was changing over. I really dislike working with the slick papers.

LDRS (Little Darlings Rubber Stamps) has semi-glossy papers that are really pretty.

The papers that Photoplay prints in house are the slicker Colorplay lines. The Photoplay are their manufactured papers.

I wish Photoplay printed its Colorplay papers in-house using the same non-glossy/slick finish as its (Photoplay) branded papers.

Dress my craft. I have a 6x6 pad from them which is glossy.
This is an international scrapbook company so if peas are looking for something different I suggest checking them out!
