LSU hosts the Auburn Tigers Saturday night for our final showdown until who knows when. With the addition of OU and Texas next year in the SEC, our 32-year streak of games with Auburn will end. Hopefully our defense will continue to improve. This morning I'm heading out to a 4-day crop so I will watch some of the game in my hotel room.
Who does your team play?
GEAUX LSU TIGERS!

Going to enjoy a relaxing Husker free football weekend. They have a bye. I will be in West Des Moines Saturday for a wedding and Sunday to meet my great nephew from Oregon. Two different family activities conveniently in the same area, the same weekend.

It's a bye week for both Ole Miss and Miss. State, so we will switch our focus to the Astros in the run up to the MLB World Series! Enjoy your crop cadoodlebug

Georgia goes to Vandy this weekend. I'm not too worried about them, but as our Smart coach said "humility is only a week away!".

I am so confused by the new SEC matchup schedule. Could they have made it any more complicated?
Ole Miss is off this week, so we'll probably pay attention to the the LSU/Auburn game since we play Auburn next week.

It’s a bye week for my Oklahoma Sooners. The bye week comes at a perfect time, since they are coming off the big win over Texas. (My husband and I are watching the replay on ESPNU as I type).
I’ll be cheering for Norte Dame to beat USC this weekend. My son went to Norte Dame and I’m not a Lincoln Riley fan.
BOOMER!

The conference is too large because they have gotten greedy.

CU hosting Stanford tonight, it’s parents weekend so extra rowdy crowds and it’s going to be 🥶! Sko Buffs!
CSU hosting Boise State tomorrow night, both parents weekend and homecoming! DD is feeling sick so I’m not sure she’ll go.
🦬🖤💛💚🐏
Edited to add Wow CU played a decent half and then completely imploded. 😬
Good thing they have a nye next week!
All the new Coach Prime bandwagon fans finding out what it really means to be a CU fan! 😬😂😭
Edited to add again: wow the miracle in Fort Collins! Didn’t stay up to see it unfortunately. 😭

Notre Dame hosting USC. The weather forecast is terrible. 90% chance of rain. 50*. Windy. It's been raining since yesterday and everything is water logged. Go, Irish

Did anyone see College Gameday’s special on Tyler Trent? I’ll admit it, I got teary eyed. I vividly remember watching that game. It was like it was meant to be. Maybe, just maybe we can pull some of that magic today and upset Ohio St like we did in 2018.
Boiler Up!

(12) UNC defeated (25) Miami (41-31). With a 6-0 record (for only the sixth time in school history), my alma mater hosts UVA next week. Go Heels!
Hope you are enjoying the crop & the (22) LSU victory over Auburn (48-18)!

I've got a silly question. I watched a little bit of the Tennessee game. The stands and fans were set up so each section was either orange or white, based on what the fans were wearing. How do the fans know what to wear? Is it announced beforehand? Like if you are in an odd numbered section you wear orange, and even numbered wear white?

At the University of Iowa, all ticket holders get an email. If your seats remain the same yearly, you generally wear the same color. For instance, I always wear black, year after year.

We also get emails at Oklahoma when they “stripe the stadium.” Odd numbered sections are always white and even numbered sections are always red. Reminders are posted on Facebook, instagram, etc. I love Tennesse’s orange and white checkerboard pattern. That does seem like it would be a little harder to pull off than “striping” the stadium.

I found this info on the UT stadium checkerboard: Fans are assigned either orange or white based on their seat location. Fans can find which color to wear at the CheckerNeyland.com website. Reminders are posted in the Knoxville Newspaper in the days before the game.
