Hello, Peas-
Round 1 of the card exchange filled up, so this is Round 2. You're free to join as many rounds as you wish.
This exchange will be open for sign up until November 4th or until we get to 50 participants, whichever comes first. I'll get the list sent out over the weekend of November 4th/5th or soon after we fill the exchange. Cards are due by the end of December. I've provided a space in the sign up to request the type of greeting you would prefer. This way, we can be aware of and accommodate everyone's situation.
Rules (as usual):
1. You may use the name and address that you’re comfortable sharing. PEA name only? OK! First name only? OK! Dog’s name? OK! PO Box? OK! The form does require your Pea name in order that we can satisfy the requirement of rule 4.
2. The type of card you send (handmade, store bought, photo, postcard) is entirely up to you.
3. Please send to as many PEAS as you are able to. Please note that you may receive more or less cards than you send out.
4. This exchange is for active members of the board. Therefore, the exchange is restricted to members with at least 50 posts (Junior Member rank) or above.

I saw it was posted for Round 1 and told my sister in case she was interested
but didn't have time to sign up at that time and bam! Round 1 was filled.
Thank you for doing a Round 2. I believe I was in that group last year for
the same reason. Thanks for doing this.

I just checked and we are at 17. (Tuesday 10/17, around 4pm central time) A lot of them are probably cross overs of people joining more than one group (including me). Speaking of, if you sign up for more than one round, I will send a cross over list eliminating the duplicates to that group of people when I close the swaps.

Am I correct in saying that we made two groups because people felt compelled to send cards to everyone, and anything over 50 people is too many? It just seems pointless if some people join both groups. (And I say that as someone who did join both groups a couple of years ago, and was going to do so this year as well!  ) What would happen if the same 50 people joined both groups? I wish that we only had one big group, and if people felt compelled to send to everyone, well, that's their choice. I am only going to join one group this year, to give others who missed out a chance to join in. But if there are people in the other group who I would like to send a card to, I will contact them separately to ask if they're happy to give me their address. |

TC would you be able to let me know (round 1 sign up) how many new peas signed up for round 2? If not many more, than could I have both lists? My max is 60-70. I am comfortable with that. 100+ 2 years ago was too much.

When I started hosting the holiday swap, a lot of peas at the time expressed their concern for an unlimited swap. So we decided to cap at 50 max. But there's a group of peas who also have no problem sending to more than 50 and desire to send out to as many as possible, so we allowed the join more than one round option. Its what was decided in order to accommodate everyone's preferences. As you can probably see from the comments, several peas missed out on round 1 since it filled so quickly. I think the combined list last year ended up somewhere around 80 to 85? Not that I am saying that's what will happen this year, but they definitely won't be identical lists. Does that help?

But I can't help thinking that nobody is compelled to send to everyone on the list, so if people are concerned about the group size, that's kind of on them, and they can just not send to everyone. But I know that those same kind and generous Peas don't want to leave anyone out! As I mentioned, I will just reach out to anyone on the other list that I want to send a card to. Or, if there is still space on the second group after the cut off, I will ask to join that one too. I just don't want to take up a spot that someone else could take. Especially as I will not be sending a card to everyone (it's too bloody expensive from way down here!!).

I'm so sorry but due to some medical issues that has come up (with my sister) I have a feeling I am not going to be able to give any attention to participate. I might be traveling back and forth soon and my head won't be in it.  Have fun, it is always so much fun to get the cards and make them! |

Oh my gosh, I can't believe I almost missed this. Last year was my first, and getting the cards in the mail added so much joy to my December season. I just signed up for this round! Thanks for hosting it again!
