I’m so disappointed. I’d planned to go to the Scrapbook Expo Thursday (Today) stay overnight and Friday (tomorrow) as a mini vacation since it’s only an hour away. However Sunday I was really sick and tested positive for Covid. I’m fine now and can test tomorrow but I’m still tired so mini vacation is cancelled.
So I was thinking that since I didn’t use any of my vacation budget I should get myself a few scrappy items I’ve had my shopping cart for a while and maybe something really nice. I’ve been thinking about getting a Glimmer foiling machine so maybe that.
Any new cool stuff out there? Totally open to suggestions. Thanks for listening.

I have my eye on the Anna Griffin Empress Electronic Die Cut Machine. Die Cut MachineI have been looking at an electronic die cut machine for a few months now and am between this one and the Gemini 2. The Empress is a lot quieter and the plates seem to not warp. It seems easier to use as well when it comes to a learning curve. Not sure if that is anything you are looking at.

Do you stamp? If so, what about a new stamping platform? I’m tempted to try the new Altenew platform.
Or like mentioned, a new die cutting machine? Either electronic or a manual one.
Scan n Cut or an electronic cutter like a Cricut or Silhouette?
A fancy set of markers, alcohol markers (like Copics), or fancy pens or inks?
I like to go to scrapbook.com and browse new products to see if anything grabs my attention. Obviously any scrap site would work—that’s just my preference since I live in AZ and they are close.

Thanks for the ideas.
I already have a stamp platform—the Tim Holtz one, and I have a Gemini Jr. Which I love.
What I don’t have and hadn’t thought of are the Scan N Cut and Silhouette. Copics is a great idea too..

I am beginning g to like the new letterpress from Spellbinders. More for card making but some very pretty designs.

So sad for you missing all the excitement, artisticscrapper. You and gramma should get together and share your Covid blues. She missed a big scrappy event, too. Is there an on line event you can treat yourself to with the saved dollars? I think their November events are full, but check out SCT Crop & Create Delivered. They don't seem to have any 2024 events up yet, but last year registrations opened before Christmas for spring events.

Copics is a great idea too.. If you get a silhouette you really don't need the Scan N Cut. I had both and only used the Scan N Cut twice. I learned that I could copy whatever image I wanted into the silhouette and cut it from there.

I would go on A Cherry On Top website, and browse all the new items and all the pre-orders.........and fill the cart, then click place order.

I’m sorry you’re missing out and hope you get your energy back soon! I’d buy an expensive items I’d been eying for a while rather than lots of smaller things, simply because the smaller item purchases can be spread out and I’m much more likely to do that than plunk down a chunk of change on the expensive item.

gramma yes the events are about the same. I haven’t been to the Expo for years so I thought I’d treat myself to a mini vacation. Even though I’m only about an hour away I decided to stay over since I’d be there late. I agree with you dewryce.I’m still considering different things. Right now the Silhouette is the front runner. According to their website there’s a new one out, Cameo 5. I’ll wait until next month when the sales start happening.
