Your challenge today is to layer stencils. My example uses a set of specially designed layering stencils by Lisa Horton, but to meet this challenge you can layer any stencils, even the same stencil over itself. If you offset it a little you can get a cool shadow effect. The twist is to include a sticker on your card. My sentiment is a sticker, but any sticker will do!  grammadee |

Beautiful! I just got a new candle stencil that I've seen used with other stencils over the top to add pattern. I think I have something that will work. Otherwise I'll put out a "real" layering stencil  |

Your card is beautiful, justjac ! I have very few stencils. None are layering stencils like this, but I think I can figure something out. I’m sure you’ve figured out something but I’ll say this if only to remind myself… that die cuts and the negative pieces can be stenciled over too, whether cut from masking paper or cardstock. I might use a cover plate tiny star die to make a mask for my candle stencil. |

I have none of the layering stencils, at least none of the nicer ones available these days. However, I have a lot of brass templates, so I thought that they might work for this challenge. I couldn’t find them, but I came across a very old, and very forgotten collection of scrapbooking stencils from probably 15 to 20 years (or more) ago. One was a layering stencil. It’s too childish for my taste now, but it worked okay.  |
