Again - my theme for your Monday cards is "Sets", as in a set of cards. My definition of a set is 3 cards - you may use the same papers for your set with different sentiments or the same sentiment with different papers. Your challenge for this week is to make a double fold card. grammadee

Start with a piece of cardstock - 9 x 6. From the right score at 4 and 7. Fold the 4 inch score to the right and the 7 inch to the left.
Did that make sense?

My plan for a 5x7 card is to start with a 7x12" piece of cs. Along the 12" side, score at 3" and 7". Fold the 3" panel forward and the 7" is the card fold.
If you try it before I do, please let me know how it works.

Thank you both. gramma , your cards end up 4 x 6" or...? Never mind. I'm pretty much done for the day, cleaning up the craftermath, and getting ready to pivot to adulting, but I'll take 2 minutes and try gramma's directions with a piece of scrap paper (ie packing list from one of the too many online orders, LOL). EtA: Yes, it makes sense, and yes, your cards are 4x6.

gramma thank you for the folding set challenge! I love how your cards have a wide strip down the middle and even strips at the edges. Very pretty focal images. For my scoring I took a 5 1/2 by 8 1/2 and scored at 1 3/4 and 4 5/8. The result was a card that is 4" wide. I'm having photography lighting issues today but I like these cards.

gramma , I can see that the wider PP on the left continues under the little flap. Are the center and left strips of PP the same width as one another?

I made a formula for gramma's card base (in any size)!! - Cut ((3 x Card Width)-3) by the Card Height.
- Score at the Card Width from one Card Height end.
- Score at (Card Width minus one) from the first score. This second score should also be (Card Width minus 2) from the other Card Height side.
I'm still not happy with how I cut my PP though.

I should have scrolled down to see Gramma’s and Shakti’s posts on measurements. I figured out my own measurements, but I could have saved both card stock and time. When closed, my card is 5.5H x 4.25W. My cards fit in a standard A2 size envelope.

Very cute, scrapnnana...what width did you end up using for the rightmost PP? 1"? Or a little wider?

Very cute, scrapnnana ...what width did you end up using for the rightmost PP? 1"? Or a little wider? Slightly wider, so the edge wouldn’t show when the card was closed. It was 1.5” wide. Measurements for the version of the card that I did, for those who haven’t tried this but want an A2 card: Cut card stock 9.5” wide, 5.5” high. Score (measuring from left) at 2&1/16” and at 5.25” with first fold a mountain fold, second fold a valley fold. Patterned paper measurements are all 5.25” tall. On front, behind thin panel, the patterned paper is 2&7/8” wide With card fully open, the left thin panel of patterned paper is 1&7/8” wide; the middle panel is 2&7/8” wide, and the thin, right panel is 1.5” wide. Besides, even if no one else wants this, now I have the measurements written down for myself to refer back to it, someplace where I can easily find it again.

For joblackford (and anyone else interested). Here are full back and front photos of my scrap paper prototype and one card: The base is 9.75 x 5.5 scored at 2.25 and 5.5 (from left). Trim 3/4 off the height of 2 6x6 PPs. Cut to 2.75x5.25, 1.25x5.25, and 2x5.25. I’m not thrilled with how I used the scraps on the inside.
