Back before digital, you could set up your camera to capture the date and time and it would print on the photos. Is that possible when using an I-phone as a camera ? I just spent the better part of two days organizing prints from a 12 day road trip by going back through my iPhone and finding the date and time for those photos so I can scrap like photos together (ones taken at the same location). Also, if it is possible, what photo printing companies would print the date/time on the front or back of the photo?

So I am an Android/Samsung Galaxy user, so I don't know if this will be much help. 2 things on my phone are the way my phone names the photos, it also puts the date in it. For example, the last picture on my camera roll is 20231023_054030.jpg, and that first part is the date it was taken. When I print thru most places, they print this meta data on the back of each picture. I figured that out by accident one time when I was writing the dates on the back of the pictures I had just developed and was going thru my phone to match them up.
2nd is I have the option in my camera settings to add a watermark to the photo, and 1 of them is the date and time. I tried it, and it does indeed put it in the lower right-hand corner like the old cameras used to. I also has the option to pick the font used as well.
I hope one of these works for you!

I don't know about adding it to the front of the pictures. But I have an iPhone and I use the Freeprints app to print my pics. I LOVE it!! They have matte, you get 85 free prints per month ( you just pay shipping). And if you go over 85, it's not much per pic. And they print the date of the pic on the back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I made the mistake of using, maybe Shutterfly, once a couple of years ago. I had to go through and write the dates on the back of all those pictures. Never again, now I always use Freeprints app!!!

Just did a Google search. Looks like Timestamp Camera Basic is pretty cool to put info on the front of the pics.

Persnickety Prints prints the name of the image on the back of the photo so you could use that info to order your photos chronologically

Shutterfly prints the file name and date on the back for pictures from a camera ordered through their site. I'm not sure about pictures from a phone or ordered from their app, though.

Thank you, I did not know this. I would have loved to have this turned on 3 weeks ago while I was out of the country taking tons of photos!
