I've booked up to get some put in at my next hair appointment at the beginning of December. I have thick, short, brunette curls, and I want red, orange and yellow (autumn coloured) streaks, like this but underneath. I hope you can view it? I just passed the patch test. The last time I had highlights was when I was a big Jon Bon Jovi fan, which just shows how long ago that was. Has anyone had anything similar done? Care to share photos? Bonus points if you have curls!

This is dd. She has color done without bleaching and no other pre treatment. It's a non long lasting allergy friendly color.
The color lasts about 6 weeks and slowly fades. The blue you see is the best as it fades to a cool mint color! She has done a red too but in her it fades to a weird orange color. So she tried a burgundy with more purple to the red and it faded pretty.
He color is by Paul M and has no allergens.

Those colours are gorgeous! I never do anything with my hair - just shake it and go (it's curly so I get away such an easy routine) - but I am really tempted to try this.
I hope you post a picture if you do it!!

I think that will be beautiful and fun! I have done just one section once to see how I liked it, and I have done tinsel. Loved both, with just a peak of what was there.

That looks so fun, I’m excited for you!
I’m seriously considering doing it, galaxy colors and dark hair, but I haven’t seen anyone in person whose color looked so good I would use their hair colorist. And I’ve seen lots of bad examples so I’m cautious. but my hair is super long and it would take ages for it to grow out.

I added teal peak a boo highlights to my hair in 2 places, one on each side of my head. I love it and have gotten so many compliments on it. It's held up beautifully too, even my stylist was impressed when I came in to have my roots done. dewryce, if you're anywhere near the Kansas City area I highly recommend my stylist. She's great and has taken DD's hair from blue to black to blond and is so kind in giving DD advice on doing it herself. She's cut my kids hair since the beginning and I honestly don't trust anyone else to color it for me.

I used to love doing all the fun colors! I wouldn't mind doing it again if it wasn't so expensive.

Wow. I love all of these. There is an older librarian that adds purple to parts of her hair and I love it and wish I had the guts to do it.

pantsonfire - your daughter has beautiful hair. How pretty! Gennifer - wow, I love that! I have a favourite scarf in those colours, the brown and blue. SnoopyFan - Gorgeous. I so wanted the cool mermaid look, but I'm warm not cool, so I'm doing the volcano instead. Possibly sunflower. I'll see. Thanks everyone! Any more?

I just could not muster the courage. A year ago I was treated for cancer. I lost my hair. I now have a head of “cancer gives you courage” short, curly purple hair. Many compliments. And several people said it’s always been in me and I should have done it years ago. Don’t wait. I use a shampoo that I can let fade, as well. I have bright pink and purple. Love it.

I also lost my hair to cancer 2 years ago, and I now have rampant, crazy, chemo curls. I haven't done anything fancy to my hair and now I want to. My brother and Mum won't approve and that's too bad. It's my hair. I would really love to see your hair. Would you mind sharing a photo?
