I started off intending to make this two-for-one ink embossed and ink-blended duo from Stampin' Up demonstrator Melissa Kerman of Melissa's Crafting Treehouse: link
But as I was planning my cards, I was reminded of this post on the Imagine Crafts (US distributers of Tsukineko products) blog, which I found very inspiring, but never got around to working with: linkHere are my cards: I did the ink blending on a single panel and over-stamped with VFC Nocturne. Only the final off-the-edge stamping was done after the panel was halved. What adventure will you choose? Stamp and heat-emboss in white like Melissa did? Or in some other color? Ink blend a single background or two separate color blends? Over-stamp in black like I did? Or in white, gold, or some other color of pigment ink? For the sake of points, grammadee , we'll use my over-stamping as the challenge and any heat-embossed-resist technique as the twist.

Shakti, your cards are gorgeous. I love the contrast of the ink blended colors and the black silhouette. Here is my take on the challenge. I was trying for a beach sunset scene.

scrapnnana WOW! Your cards have a lovely poetic feel to them. Shakti thank you for the ink blend challenge. Your blended and stamped cards are beautiful. Kudos to those of you who envision their finished card and then create it. Mine didn't turn out like I originally thought they would, but I did enjoy resist inking. I thought I would also share my fails/practice. The stars and hearts are CTMH pre-clear embossed, meant to be water colored over.

Jelly fish?! How much fun, jjpeapea! My finished cards often don't quite live up to my vision. My mother tells me that it's ok because the recipient doesn't see your vision, only the card in their hand.

Jelly fish?! How much fun, jjpeapea ! My finished cards often don't quite live up to my vision. My mother tells me that it's ok because the recipient doesn't see your vision, only the card in their hand. That is SO TRUE! We agonize over every choice but the person who opens the card only sees the beautiful piece in front of them. Love your fall colors and silhouette leaves and flowers. The sentiment is great too! I grew up saying autumn but now I say fall to fit in with the locals...
