I have several colors. At this point, they are all at least one to three years old. I could have sworn when the bottles were newer that the drops dried with a bit more puff and/or dimension, but when I tried making Nuvo dots recently, they started puffy but sank down and became flat when they dried. Are they supposed to dry flat like enamel dots, or is it because the bottle is older?

Yes. They flatten out as they dry. Kinda look like the enamel dots you buy.

Thanks. I thought perhaps they were too old to hold their shape. Now that I know, I will use them differently. Obviously, it’s been awhile since I bought them and used them.
I ruined a few flowers because I tried to use the Nuvo drops for the centers, and the drops just sank and blended into each other in blobs instead of keeping a bit of shape.

They shouldn't be drying too flat. They should still have some shape/dimension to them. Can you post a picture?
I have some older ones, quite a bit older than yours since I got them used before the pandemic, and I have rarely used them. Although they lose some of their height as they set I wouldn't describe the end result as flat.

I threw the ruined flowers away. I have noticed they can merge with other drops if placed too close, but I tried to keep them apart when using them for flower centers placing a drop or two, waiting till it dried, then another, but it didn’t go well.
I’ll experiment with them a bit.
I think when I bought them, I expected them to look more like enamel drops when dry, but they had more height. These sank more than I remembered them doing in the past.

Try shaking them really well or even popping the top off and stirring it up. It’s possible after sitting that long the ingredients have separated.
