Welcome to the last vellum challenge for CARDtober 2023. I hope you had fun with these challenges and will give them a try. Today we are creating a 'window' with vellum. The twist to make it an easel card where you can use a battery operated candle to make it shine. I have 2 videos with 2 different ways to make the easel card. This is by Connie and I used her technique youtu.be/pagHNJFreik?si=N3XbsxfikxvZGNqiAnd this is from Tami youtu.be/IShY5gLqA_4?si=7GD4EQ3Z9x3321Yo its worth seeing the end with all the ideas and samples she has. Here is my card without the candle and with it. Let's get crafty Peas! Tagging grammadee- thank you!

azcrafty , your cards are so beautiful, and of your vellum challenges, this was my favorite! I adapted a Silhouette file for mine, and I used my dark blue vellum for a night sky. My sentiment was supposed to prop my easel card open, but due to the depth of layers, that didn’t work well, so I added 3 pearls to do the job instead.

Beautiful card scrapnnana. The blue vellum is perfect for a night sky. Love your silhouette, I wish I would be so good with svg files. And I love your idea to use the pearls for the stopper. Thank you for playing and happy that you enjoyed this challenge.

scrapnnana LOVE! I briefly considered a nativity scene, even had it on my Design Space screen but changed my mind. Your layers and depth of the city and the beautiful sky about to be filled with angels was so special. Joyful indeed. Thank you for the easel tea light challenge azcrafty . The video was quite good. As usual I watched it all the way through and then watched it pausing between steps. Her download of measurements was also very helpful. I did make myself a cut file on the Cricut instead of her paper template method - my math skills rule over my coordination skills every day. My first thought was a deer-in-the-woods scene simlar to yours, but the cut file I had looked like it was layered too densely to get the best effect. Then I considered and rejected the nativity scene. I was lucky enough to have the same Snowman Magic snowflake frame as the video, and a leftover ballerina from my Out-of-the-Box challenge.

jjpeapea love...love your little ballerina. It makes me think that I'm at the theater watching the Nutcracker and one of the scenes is this. What a wonderful idea. Im very impressed that you created the cut file that would make easy to mass produce this.

Here is mine. No candle yet. But this is with the light from the window shining through it. This is pretty messy, but now that I found the frame that works, I think I will be able to put together several of these. Thanks, azcrafty! vellum window by Gramma Dee, on Flickr
