This month's SheetLoad of cards sketch is a fun one. I like how Alicia comes up with all kinds of sketches. Here is the video with the printable link youtu.be/bSyTUjn7bV8?si=TP3F7wBmL_XSHvnOAnd the process video youtu.be/pB61HbBNStI?si=9ik8cIOMGwPUU5YDFor the extra challenge lets try to use as much elements its possible from patterned paper...card base or mat, sentiments, images. I know I'm not alone with the stacks of paper pads that are still waiting to be used. For every extra element of pp you use collect 10 extra points. Let's get creative and can't wait what everyone comes up with! Tagging grammadee to add this to the challenges.

Here is mine. I used patterned paper for my card base and cut the sentiments out from one too. I guess looking back now I could have used one for the mat too. For the Santa and snowman 1/2 inch strips I made sure that they are faces instead of bellies and feet. That made me wait some paper but its well worth it. http://instagram.com/p/CzJddaxLP4g

Your cards are adorable! I've been purposely not buying 12x12 PP, so I'll have to see if it makes sense to try with 6x6. If I do, I think my strips will be straight across, we will see.
I've been "stuck" remaking some of my favorite older SLoC when I make them (just did a Hanukkah set the other day). I really need to force myself to do some of the newer ones!

MichyM the sketch is for 6x6 paper. So you are in luck. Looking forward to see your creation. Did you post the Hanukkah cards somewhere?

I have been terrible about posting anything I've done for the last several months. I'll see if I can convince myself to do so over the weekend It's not like it's a hard thing to do! I realized the other day that I haven't posted to my IG for 8 months. I used to post every week-ish, sometimes more. Not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing KWIM?

Thanks, azcrafty for the link and your takes on this month's challenge. Love how you used different vellum shapes for your focal.

I haven't done a full set yet, but did use the single card cutting info to create this card yesterday. I decided to rotate the sketch 90º because that seemed to work better with my focal image and sentiment.

I am working with a 6x8 paper pad right now so I decided to play around and make a few cards with this sketch. They're very busy and colorful! Two of the pairs use both sides of the paper. This collection has some interesting shades of green. I cut the sentiments to test out a new die and decided they would work. I might add some small "confetti" die cuts or enamel dots when I get to the end of using up this collection but for now I think they're busy enough! 🙈 They're a bit garish all together but looking at each card individually they're... better. And as I always tell myself, someone will love them Sheetload Nov 2023 by jo.blackford, on Flickr

Love your cards joblackford. What collection are the pp from and your dies are C&9? Love that you made the sentiments black and white, works perfectly with the colorful background.

Love your cards joblackford . What collection are the pp from and your dies are C&9? Love that you made the sentiments black and white, works perfectly with the colorful background. The papers are Simple Stories Mix and A-Mingle from last year (I found from a small shop on Etsy), and yes, the sentiments are C&9th. Thanks.

azcrafty , thanks for posting the November SLOC. I love the cheerful, cartoony papers on your cards. CoffeeCrafter , nice how you switched up the orientation. It gives a different feel. Cute Santa Bear - I like how he is dressed up like a little paper doll. joblackford so much variety. I love the mix and match, different kinds of circles, different sentiments (that's a super useful sentiment die set). I only have 5 - one of my papers was double sided and one mistake.

jjpeapea those are so cheerful! I like the relatively monochrome look of the backgrounds to keep the focus on your cute characters

I realized the 1/2" strips could work quite well for sentiment strips. I didn't really end up using that idea except on that one modified card but I think it could work quite well to stamp supporting sentiments on some of the 1/2" strips, especially if you're using scraps and running out of pp.

Hmmm...many of the paper pads/packs I'm working with have sheets of skinny strips with words or patterns....
