no - I just decorated for Thanksgiving today.
After Thanksgiving/beginning of Advent - I'll switch out the dishes, kitchen and table linens, set up the nativities, maybe do some lights and greenery
Closer to the 4th Sunday of Advent or even Christmas - we'll do the tree(s) and the more Christmas-y decorations

Never before the first weekend in December.
The house around the corner has yard decorations out already.

I have always decorated on Black Friday UNTIL last year. I did it the week before Thanksgiving, and I LOVED it! I was so tempted to start today but will wait until next week. I bought some new things today for my decor, and I am ready to go! It's so nice to spend Thanksgiving/Black Friday and beyond with all of that work done! I love to just enjoy it.

No I typically wait till Thanksgiving weekend. But I am trying to get everything out and ready to go earlier so it doesn't seem such like a huge project. So my boxes are coming out and waiting in the garage.

DH and DS will put the tree up for me when DS is here Thanksgiving week. Right now I have my fall/Thanksgiving decorations up.

We will be gone the Tuesday of Thanksgiving week thru the weekend. I’ve convinced DH to put the artificial tree up the weekend before we leave. I’ve never decorated that early. We won’t get our real tree until the first week of December.

I broke my left leg fibula last week. I hope to have tree up the weekend before Christmas. This morning I took down my Halloween decos, but probably won’t get to put up Thanksgiving decos. Hard to maneuver on a crutch.

We decorate after December 2nd.
That said I did begin my Christmas shopping - bought two presents this week so I fell good to have at least done that.

I was coming in late from a meeting last night and noticed several homes with their lights up. I don't blame them. We've had some unseasonably good weather and any time you can get up on a windless day with a dry roof to string light, you take advantage of it!
We don't decorate for Christmas until after Thanksgiving dinner. Same with playing holiday music. We usually have the tree up that evening and I watch White Christmas to kick off the season.

Lol. In fact I just did this today. It still needs to be fluffed, and obviously decorated. But I also love it with just the lights, especially early in the morning when it’s still dark. ![](https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20231109/e4c64d68a49d2c4ca8d4a835d5cea4c9.jpg)

Nope, no Christmas in sight. I host Thanksgiving and I love to have it all decorated for Fall/Thanksgiving... but you can bet that evening after every one leaves, I start taking down the leaves and pumpkins! ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/5645536/images/MNrJDkDuSwqIMVw33MdD.jpg)

Not yet, but I purchased a new slim tree yesterday. I have been looking for several years hoping to snag one I liked on clearance, but alas that hasn’t happen. I bit the bullet yesterday. I think I will like it. It has a choice of clear or multi colored lights. The lights are tiny LEDs and the wires must be very thin and are wrapped in the branches. I will have to pair down on my ornament’s, but I can’t handle getting the big tree up and down the basement stairs anymore. I bought a pencil tree last year for the same reason. I love it! A lot of my neighbors have trees up already. I put my lights on the front porch, but don't have them plugged in. I'll decorate after Thanksgiving.

We leave our outside lights on the house up all year round. They’re the kind you can change the colors or how they blink, so we change the colors to match the season. Right now I have them turned to gold/yellow for fall/Thanksgiving, then I’ll change them to multicolor for Christmas, then white after New Years until the end of January or February. We don’t have street lights on our street so the houses are really dark in the winter. Having the lights turned on outside really helps to brighten things up.
I took down my Halloween stuff (the limited things we had up this year) last week.
Before 2020 we would put up our inside decorations the weekend after Thanksgiving. But the last few years we’ve gone to the lake cabin for the long holiday weekend so our stuff at home didn’t get put up until a week or two later. I’m really okay with putting it up after the first of December because honestly I get a little sick of it overtaking my house and displacing needed furniture for more than a month.
My BFF started putting up all of her Christmas stuff the day after Halloween. She really goes over the top with it so it takes her a while to get it all out and put up.
ETA: It’s supposed to be warm this weekend and I just remembered that I bought all new light strings for the lilac bushes out in front of the house at the end of the season last year. I should get out there before I have to freeze my butt off to put them up. I won’t turn those on until after Thanksgiving even though the string lights on the house are on already (all gold for fall/Thanksgiving right now).

Yes, I have! I do quite a few trees every and it’s not enjoyable to decorate if I have to rush to do everything in a short amount of time.
We have 4 trees up so far: my primary bedroom, my daughter’s bedroom (she decorated that one with her boyfriend), my sunroom (Harry Potter theme), and our family room, which is Nightmare Before Christmas… a new theme for me this year! I’ll do another two or three over the next week, and then my big, formal tree will go up around Thanksgiving.

Turkey tastes the same with the tree(s) up! I decorate early. I’ll finish this weekend. I love the lights, the warmth, I want it up for as long as possible.
Side note, I take it all down the day after!

Pumpkins and pine trees are not allowed to co-exist in my house, so Christmas decor doesn't go up until after Thanksgiving. I enjoy leaving it up after the first of the year since I suffer from SAD and January can be dark. I'm eager to get started with decorating this year, but I need to continue to make progress on my decluttering first.

Christmas is my favorite, but I have to wait or I burn myself out. DH will pull up all the Christmas stuff from the basement Thanksgiving or the day after. He'll put up our 12' tree over that weekend and string it with lights, but we won't decorate it until December 1.
I have our Christmas playlist ready to go, but for now we haven't busted it out... it's coming though.

When I did my staircase garland, I started the weekend before Thanksgiving. DH actually asked me if I was going to decorate this year which surprised me. He doesn't care about it at all - or says he doesn't.
I'm doing a small tabletop tree and a garland on the mantle and will probably put it up Thanksgiving weekend.

Honestly, if I hadn't caught COVID I would have decorated before Halloween ![:P](//storage.proboards.com/5645536/images/hsO0ZOMpzVzrKenEfxZl.jpg) BUT only because DS and I haven't decorated since 2018 (2019 DH passed, 2020-2022 renovation from hell) so we're really excited to decorate this weekend. I'm a normally wait until after Thanksgiving type of person but I think I'm going to be a after Halloween type of person going forward. I hate doing it but LOVE how my house looks decorated for Christmas so I'm going to squeeze as much time out of it as I can. I would normally take everything down on New Year's Day or the weekend after New Year's but in my current role, we work on New Year's day so it's coming down probably the weekend of the 30th. I say do what makes you happy. You're not hurting anyone decorating early. NOW I will say this, no outside decorations are done until the day after Thanksgiving, I have to maintain some sense of decorum. ![(rofl)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/rofl.png)

I put mine up when I have one of our girls here to help. That happened to be this past Sunday. I used to always do day after Thanksgiving but now I just want to enjoy the happiness as long as possible.

When I worked for the state of Florida, I always put my tree up Veterans Day. If it didn't get put up then, it didn't go up, because I traveled home for Thanksgiving weekend and then it was too much to do in December.
I haven't put my tree up this year, but I may start decorating some this weekend. I really need my mom to go through her decorations and pare them down. Besides forgetting what she's decided to get rid of, she's also started claiming my stuff (either that I paid for with my own money or things she gave to me) as hers, so I don't want to put my decorations out and have a bunch of drama. Honestly, the only decor of mine that I feel safe in displaying are my Star Wars ornaments. 😢

Fall is my absolute favorite season, so I embrace that decor until the U.S. Thanksgiving.
That said, I did help my DD put up her tree last weekend. She's already listening to Christmas music, too.

NO!
We do Thanksgiving before Christmas. There is plenty of time for Christmas after Thanksgiving. A whole month ofto celebrate Christmas. It really irritates me Thanksgiving is so meaningless to people these days. Everyone has something to be thankful for.

I decorated my two trees on Monday. I have most of my decorations up already, and may do the last bit today. I absolutely love the warm glow from my trees at night, and the sparkly decorations just make me feel happy and cheerful.
