I don't mind listening to the radio in the car. I like to listen to the local news, traffic, and weather when I drive. Also, in the mornings, the stations usually play some kind of silly game with listeners. Hearing someone else speak can break up my long hour commute. Outside my car, I listen to streaming music, but I prefer the radio when I am in the car.
Do you listen to regular radio anymore?

My commute recently went from four minutes to 40 minutes, so I have much more time in the car. I like to listen to morning radio because I enjoy the banter of the posts on my drive home. I usually listen to a podcast. At home we usually stream music.

occasionally I listen to the radio, but I mostly listen to audio books. I rarely listen to streaming music in my car, only if DD is in the car with me.

For the same reasons I also listen to the radio in the car, unless I'm on a road trip and don't care about local stuff, then I listen sirius/xm.

I usually listen to Spotify but if I’m only going a short distance I’ll listen to NPR in my car.

Yes. More than Apple Music, although I will do playlists every now and then. It is an independent station I have been listening to for the last 30 - 40 years. I have some others I cycle through but one main one my radio is tuned to. I like the variety. I like hearing the live music information. They have a lot of programming that I like. They do live interviews with artist playing in town. There are lots of reasons they are my go to.

I listen to car radio when running errands. I listen to NPR on radio while I dress each morning.

If I’m driving by myself sometimes I’ll turn on the radio. I’ll listen to music, not talking, not commercials…that’s a sure fire way to get me to turn it off. So I don’t turn on the radio at all during rush hour. Never listen at home unless it’s a game I can’t stream or find on the mlb app. When DH and I are in the car we stream if we listen to anything. We gab a lot!

I only listen to AM when I want to listen to a news station, usually when some major event is happening (like driving home on 9/11).

I started listening to a local morning radio talk show when I started a new job that came with a 25-minute commute-- one of the longtime co-hosts of the show had started dating a lady in our church and had recently started attending the services. I was surprised to find that I like the banter of the co-hosts and the host of the show following the morning show. The co-hosts have since retired but I like the new co-hosts, so I have continued to listen. I don't care for some of their interviews if it's with someone/about some event I don't care about. But thankfully the half hour I listen to is usually just chatting about something--sometimes it's silly things, sometimes it's serious events. The host of the next show has a history in politics and is very good about explaining things in a very neutral way while also giving reasons why the left thinks this and the right thinks that.
Other than that show, I listen to music on XM radio because I hate commercials!

Never
I refuse to listen to talk or commercials.
We use Amazon music from our phones through Bluetooth.
If for some reason that isn’t available or if I’m just making a quick trip and don’t get the music started before I go, I don’t mind riding in silence. I prefer silence to the radio.

I listen to the car radio when driving alone. DH and I don't like the same kind of music. I don't like the talk though so I change stations when people start talking or ads are playing. I'm not in the car that much anymore. If I were, I'd probably subscribe to something so I could cut out the talk.

I listen to the radio in the car sometimes, but not all the time. If I do listen, I am a usually channel surfer, I don't stick to one station. Sometimes I plug in my phone and listen to certain songs on my playlist (sometimes the same song more than once), because I need to hear those specific lyrics at that moment. I am a lyric based listener first and foremost, above and beyond the actual music.
I have sensory issues. More often than not, I drive in silence, especially after work, after a social gathering or after being confined in a smaller waiting room with other people's noise forced upon me (speaker phone, loud conversations, video game noise, children screeching, etc..).

I never listen to commercial AM or FM radio. I've been listening to Radio Paradise, a streaming service out of California, but it's been getting repetitive (my main complaint with Sirius/XM) so I've been trying SoCal 88.5 radio. The playlists are awesome--much more diverse and newer stuff, but the issues are bad connections due to many dead areas in my town, some limited commercials and general yakking by the programmers, and the inability to reject songs I don't want to listen to, like Radio Paradise's capability.

I drive a 1999 Honda Civic so I don't have the fancy commercial free radio that newer cars have. Because of this I hate listening to the car radio.
I do have a CD player though, and I love still listening to my vast collection of CD's so that's what I do. The second the car is in gear a CD is on, and it plays until the car pulls up at home. I love listening to music in my car and singing along.

I have about 35 stations and five are regular XM stations. The other 30 are Sirius, I like having a local one or two in case something is going on, but they talk too much for me to enjoy it.

I usually listen to the radio when I'm in the car, although most often it's talkback radio. If I want to listen to music in the car, I will scroll through all of the music stations, realise that I don't like most of the songs they play, then put on a CD. (My car is a 2009 Camry, so it doesn't have bluetooth unfortunately, and I am limited to CDs.) DSO and I have several radio shows that we listen to on a couple of community and independent radio stations. DSO is a paid up subscriber to one of them, so his name is read out at the end of the Blues show every Sunday. We mainly do this over the weekend while we are sitting outside in our backyard, from Friday night and all through the weekend. Other than that, I listen to music or podcasts on Spotify.

I always listen to the radio in the car, but 99% of the time, it’s a classical music station. For some reason, I find it much more enjoyable when I’m driving than any other genre.

I listen to Sirius/XM in the car, and at home. Sometimes it’s a music channel and sometimes it’s news.
If I’m listening to music, I want all music, not talk in between the songs.

For years and years I listened to the car radio (Sara and Vinny for locals But last year I switched to Spotify and Podcasts and now I rarely listen to the radio. I miss them! I moved away from the Bay Area (to Calaveras county) in 2000 and tired forever to get them in my car so I could enjoy them on my morning drive. No luck.

At home and in my car I listen to Sirius/XM almost exclusively. I travel for work quite often and in rental cars I'll either listen to the Sirius/XM app via my iPhone or I'll find and listen to a local NPR station.
