It looks like it would be great for a new crafter who does not already have a diecutting system they like. My Vagabond II (second free replacement by Sizzix after the first versions failed) is working well and I really don't want to go back to a hand crank machine. If I do, I can grab my Cuttlebug.
I understand how the dial gives you more flexibility than adding shims and extra plates, but I would still need to figure it out each time for a process I don't do very often, just like with the different layers. I am not a fan of putting the sandwich through blind. I like seeing through the clear cutting mat as my die starts to go through, just in case something slips.
Also, just wanted to say that my Cuttlebug has little suction feet that grab when you open up the wings.

I watched Jennifers video. My first thought was this just won’t work for me since I die cut face down. Setting up the sandwich and flipping the plates is just extra steps that I know I’ll forget to do. My second thought was that it looks like a cheaply made AliExpress die cut machine.
I have zero interest in this product and am curious how it will hold up over time.

Gina came out with a "statement" I read on Facebook about not comparing her machine with the version the Mfg she used. Hinted that here may have better internal parts. Like metal gears instead of plastic...would be interesting to know for sure with the $$ differnce.wish I had saved it.

Like metal gears instead of plastic...would be interesting to know for sure with the $$ differnce.wish I had saved it. From a FB Group - From Gina K - “First of all, I wanted to thank **** for sharing her wonderful introduction video on the Intri-Cut die cutting machine. I also read all of the comments on YouTube and here in the group. I thought I’d share some information so you can make the best decision when deciding what machine fits your needs. When we contacted the manufacturer of our machine, we knew there were other machines out there that used the same body. However, we did have some of the parts of our machine customized to meet our needs and provide what we believe is a great quality machine. Machines that look very similar on the outside may have different parts on the inside that makes it cost a little more. The bottom line is, buy what makes you happy and fits your budget. If color makes you happy, buy the color you like. If customer service makes you happy, choose a company that you know you can trust. If the cheapest price is what you need, go with that. But do understand that each company that contracts with a manufacturer makes choices. It’s kind of like a custom home. The builder has the model and on the outside, they all look similar. Then you add your upgrades, colors and anything else that will make it your own. I always encourage everyone to do what works best for you.”

From a FB Group - From Gina K - That's a lot of words to say nothing substantial at all (from Gina). I would be much more impressed if they showed what was different about this model - if it has sturdier, longer lasting parts, why the heck is that not a talking point? Why isn't it being flaunted? The screenshots of the handle and matching interlocking gear sure as snow look like plastic to me, captured straight from Gina K's demo video. A chain is only as strong as its weakest part, and if the handles are a known point of failure, that's where you'd hope to see upgraded materials.

I have never understood crazy fan base for Gina K. I just read the full thread on FB and I don't know why people are still buying her overpriced products. Why is no one talking about her deceiving product descriptions? Why is she getting away with misleading information?
A customer posted this.
I am sure I read it somewhere that her fuse sold out very quickly. Customers trusted her with 4 rollers only to find out that it has only 2 rollers like any other fuse in the market. How is she selling products without knowing that what else is out there? That's just an excuse to get away from bad publicity. Why is she selling product with wrong information and only finding out correct information after she started selling it? Not all customers will return it. I find this very sneaky. I have not bought it but if I did then I would feel cheated.
For this die cut machine controversy also someone asked this on that FB thread.
This is the first time she came out with a die cut machine and has been using other company's die cuts machines for years in her videos. She is one of the most experienced card maker out there and her saying that she does not know what other companies chose is hard to believe. Clearly this die cut machine is no different than one on Amazon for $90.00. She has just customized color from what I understand but she will just not say it.
She is never getting my money. I hope more customers comes to their senses and stop supporting wrong business practices. There are many more companies in the industry who are not supported by her inner circle and are fully transparent. I will gladly spend my money there. Gina K is only doing well because of SSS support and also Jennifer supporting her brand unconditionally.

I wish I had enough faith in people to believe that common sense would prevail, but alas experience teaches otherwise. The whole culture around scrapbooking and card crafting gives me icky feelings sometimes - watching livestream replays for example, where the chat history is preserved in real time to the video? Whenever anyone says anything about purchasing one of the (always new, always latest releases) that are being demo'd they get aggressively congratulated "Wow, good for you!/Yay!/Fantastic!" from the host like purchasing a product is some kind of impressive magic trick. And stuff like this "new" die cutting machine being peddled to the masses where it seems like it's just a much more expensive colourway of an older design. To be clear I'm not trying to rain on anyone's parade who wants this new machine because of the branding & colour & dies - if that's worth the price to you, then buy it! It's the lack of transparency and respect for the consumer that makes me upset.

This is disheartening. I was looking for a new manual machine to keep under my desk. I mainly use my electronic cutter and love it, but I still have a lot of the old TH steel ruled dies and my Cuttlebug is on its last leg, so I was thinking Gina's machine was the way to go. Plus it seems like no fuss, no muss for 3D embossing folders, but now it all seems icky. Does anyone know if the Spellbinders Platinum 6 takes the old Bigz dies?

twillerbee WOW thanks for the info on the Fuse! I watched the original video where she said it had 4 rollers but I had not heard that was incorrect info! That’s huge misinformation. Was this posted in the Gina K Facebook group? I’m in that group but don’t follow it that close.

If you are in the group then I hope that the link below works for you. This is where Gina K posted official statement addressing die cut machine. She has turned off comments now. www.facebook.com/groups/stampjunkies/permalink/3616585538658033/I have not seen any official announcement for fuse. Just read about it in the same thread on stamp junkies. This could mean that she probably conveyed the facts to only those who bought it. I am not sure. If someone read that announcement about 2 rollers instead of 4 anywhere then please chime in.

Spellbinders' web site has instructions for cutting steel-rule dies with the Platinum and P6.

If you do want another machine, the big ol' red Sizzix gets my vote. Heavy but durable, all metal everywhere it counts (bottom press, top press, and mechanics) and cheap on the second hand market. I have a spare in my closet (just in case) but the current unit shows no sign of slowing down. Only maintenance I've done is tightening the screws, waxing the glideway once every few years and dusting off all the paper chaff on the regular.

It's the lack of transparency and respect for the consumer that makes me upset. Sadly your faith, or lack of faith, that people will use common sense and critical thinking is correct. I see it with the fangirls in crafting and also in the dog world. No matter how many times it’s said that doodle (goldendoodle, labradoodle, aussiedoodle, shepadoodle, etc) breeders are unethical, people continue to support them and throw money at them. Both of them are full of influencers and people that want or need to be seen. I feel that several of the card makers I used to watch are just sales people now. I missed the call outs to GinaK in Stamp Junkies as my notifications was not set to all. I was a member of her Facebook group, then left for a while. I recently rejoined because of the various events she was a part of. But her group is the worst for all the fawning and over the top fans. I’m not sure how much longer I will stay in, I think I might change my notifications to less

I see it with the fangirls in crafting and also in the dog world. Nailed it! The whole tone + over-enthusiasm + instant reinforcement thing is exactly like what's used on small children and dogs.
