Anyone get anything fun and crafty this week?
My Gemini Jr works great, but I saw the Gemini II on sale for 40% off at JoAnn’s for $200 which I thought was good. I put it in my basket just to see how much it would cost with taxes and I was shocked that another coupon (20% off all purchases) stacked with it, bringing the cost down to $158 (it retails at $329). I was going to upgrade eventually but I felt like I could not pass that discount up. So…Merry Christmas to me, lol.
My plan is to hold on to the Jr for a bit to make sure I like the II, and then pass it on to my niece who is starting to get into crafting and art.

I got a roll of scorpal 5" tape.
Not exactly exciting, but I'm getting down towards the end of my only roll and it was my late grandmother's and I really don't want to finish it. So, new roll for me. Hopefully I won't ever need another, given how expensive it is. Glue most of my projects but there are some cases where only tape will get the job done, like for acetate.

I went on a little buying binge. I got the Altenew stampwheel, the Mini Blossom die cutter, a few new dies and a bunch of ink pads and refills. Merry Christmas to me!

I’m eyeing the silhouette cameo 4 for $199. I’ve been pondering a cameo for a couple years now. I had one circa 2014 and barely used it, sold it after a year. I think I’d use it more now…

I purchased the Pinkfresh Studio 72 ink cube case and placed an order at Shimmerz Paints this morning when they had 40% off. Not too much since I just bought the Tim Holtz paper trimmer and the new colors of Pinkfresh ink cubes.

I caved and bought the Cameo 4, which DH will give me for Christmas. I will probably give my Cameo 3 to my DD. The one thing I miss about my 3 is the repeat feature on the machine. The 4 is a nice upgrade. |

I bought some stencils when Taylored Expressions had a 30% off sale earlier this week.
I also had a small cart at Scrapbook dot com that I bought with their 12% off sale. Outside of their occasional free shipping, it was the best deal I've seen.

You will not regret upgrading to the larger version. I found that my old Circuit plates fit perfectly sideways and I don't have to use the large plates to run a smaller set of die cuts. The machine is powerful, The Magic Mat from Scrapbook.com is a life saver! Very easy to rejuvenate, and get crisp intricate die cuts. I still kept my large Spellbinders machine though as the Gemini only accepts thin die sandwiches.
I broke down and got the Stampwheel, after reading here and watching a few videos--could be a good addition to my stamping techniques. I bought a few things earlier in the month because I received points or discounts for my birthday.  |

I have a cart going at scrapbook .com. 12% off is usually their best deal of the year percentage-wise. They usually do free shipping during their 12 Days of Christmas at the beginning of December.

There’s a Hero Arts stamp/die bundle in my cart at both HA and SB.C. Driving my kid to work on the wee hours last year we kept seeing all these beautiful sunrises through bare winter trees. I’m not much of an ink blender but this seemed like the perfect opportunity for some. Bought the only bare tree stamp set I could find at that time — a discontinued Stampin’ Up cling stamp & die set on FB. Never got around to doing the project.
This HA set is similar, but photopolymer, and has some additional upsides compared to the other. But I don’t neeeeeed it. I suppose if I did, it wouldn’t count as a “fun” purchase, right?
Anyway, haven’t completed either purchase. Different freebies at each; only SB.C has a discount code. What to do?

I ended up getting three 6x8 stamps at SC for like $30 total! I was surprised that some of their “kits” (always find it weird to call a 6x8 stamp a kit) were still marked $10, so only $6 with the 40% BF code, aaaaand still free shipping. I think usually stamps are not free shipping during these mega sales, but yesterday it was.
Also placed a small order at SB.com, just enough to get the free Pinkfresh alpha die. It’s usually $25, which is what an order needed to be to get it. Done! Got a few papers I’ve wanted to stock up on (pretty woodgrains) and another stamp. Very pleased! 🎄

Does it count if it is Saturday and I'm headed to Denver and IKEA and the Container Store happen to be right off the interstate? Not scrappy supplies as much as storage and just entertainment. I'm going to see Roger and Hammerstein's Cinderella this evening and am planning to make a few stops prior.

I bought ATG tape. Boxes of it. I went through way more than I thought I would this past year.
Tape Jungle has a 15% off code on their main page (I didnt see it until after I ordered with 10% BOO as I went directly to the ATG page).
