It takes a big ego to run for President. It takes a huge ego and an ignorance of history to run and believe you can win.

You think??
”Crockett: For some reason there is a belief that is permeating through the Republican party that if you're a migrant, your life doesn't matter. And this is coming from the pro-life folk where they're not recognizing that this is illegal, and it's inhumane.”

One has to be pragmatic when it comes to politics. And they need to understand they aren’t going to get the “perfect” candidate that checks all their boxes. Voting matters and while one may not get everything they want if one of two candidates supports some of the issues one is interested in then that’s who they for. Because as noted many times and we are seeing firsthand elections have consequences. Staying home is no longer an option. ”Nice work from the digital team @pewresearch captures voices of the growing segment of American electorate that are so frustrated with politics that they've chosen to disengage altogether: Tuning Out: Americans on the Edge of Politics” x.com/mpiccorossi/status/1746176820012052807?s=61&t=j45uMgNk1i8O0YllKF58nw

Van Orden is the screwball who yelled at and cursed at, used profuse profanity, the Congressional interns who in their last days of service were laying on the floor of rotunda to take pictures of the Capitol Dome from underneath!!
He has also done some other unacceptable stunts, that I forget at the moment.

I have heard this so many times but have yet to see an example real or imagined. He is so me me me that I don’t understand how anti r could believe this. He didn’t cut our taxes he cut taxes for the rich. So again nothing for us. He takes money from donations for personal use - hair and makeup, lawyers. Money from taxpayers for overspending on nights for secret service in his hotels way above the approved rates many times over. Time spent golfing. Money from foreign countries for? What does any of this do to help us the American people. He promised to bring back manufacturing, update our infrastructure, bring down costs of pharmaceuticals, get Mexico to pay for the wall, drain the swamp (I think most of us would say it’s much worse now than in 2017). He did none of these things. Inflation started while he was in office and even before covid intensified it. He promised he would protect our secrets (not sure how that was worded but it was in at least one of his speeches before ge was elected which we know is so far from the truth. Wouldn’t make money while in office - nope not even close. Then add in but he is such a godly man or good Christian. This one really bugs me as he has led anything but that kind of life. The whole and then there was Trump video just really disgusted me. His repeated completely verifiable lies. Always putting someone else down to try and build himself up. His kissing up to dictators. People have already forgotten what 2020 was like and how bad it was - how many people died or were injured and suffered from long Covid. How we couldn’t even buy Tp snd so many other basics. How many people were out of work. How much further into debt we were because of the many checks that went out to stimulate the economy and how because of cuts to the rich we were even further in debt and those cuts continue to hurt us.

Yes he loves how they have opened up their wallets to him. Let’s not forget how he signed them up on autopay vs a single donation. Those donations from people that can barely pay their bills. Taking money away from those on fixed incomes 😡 is low ETA then again taking money from a cancer charity is in his repertoire so it shouldn’t surprise anyone.

He's out there telling them to go out to caucus and if they die after, it's ok... Pro-life...??!!?? No, die suckers!! Former President Donald Trump told his supporters to attend Iowa caucuses even if it literally kills them.During a Sunday speech in Iowa, Trump urged attendees to participate in a caucus for him on Monday. "You can't sit home," the former president insisted. "If you're sick as a dog, you say, darling — even if you vote and then pass away, it's worth it. Remember, if you're sick, if you're just so sick, you can't, darling, I don't think..." "Get up," Trump replies to himself from an imagined wife's point of view. www.rawstory.com/trump-iowa-caucus-sick/

"Do his supporters not care about the truth — at all?"I think they just buy whatever he tells them. He tells them that Dems are all bad and liars and are fascists and communists. They believe that Joe is a crook and his who family is actually doing all these crimes. That they are a crime family. Remember call them what you are and he repeats things over and over and over again. His fans believe he is good given. That he was the best president ever and did so much good. The whole he did what he said he would do and is down to earth non politician that is getting rid of evil politicians. Ridding us of the deep state. They believe it and don’t want to learn that they were wrong. There was a woman that was convicted of J6 that has come around and has seen the light. Not sure where I saw the video if it was posted here or where it came from. Kind of gave me hope. The whole I will pardon the patriots of J6 in one breath and then oh it was the FBI and the government doing it to make him look bad kind of contradicts each other pretty bad. That and people from J6 claiming that they went because he told them to. Fight it will be wild. Fight like hell. I really do believe that his followers really do think he is great and sent by god because he has told them so.

In New Hampshire voters who are registered as 'undeclared' can vote in either primary. Maybe that is what he is misunderstanding of the local/state laws.
BTW: undeclared voters can do the same in NJ for primaries.

This guy is a Congressman from South Carolina….
“Norman says people should vote for Haley because: “You know these illegals coming across the border? I have been there. They get a cardboard with a number. What they are doing is registering to vote. You have to win by a big enough margin that you can counteract that”
How can they just deliberately lie like this?

Someone on Quora asked "Why do some British people not like Donald Trump?" Nate White, an articulate and witty writer from England wrote the following response:
A few things spring to mind. Trump lacks certain qualities which the British traditionally esteem.
For instance, he has no class, no charm, no coolness, no credibility, no compassion, no wit, no warmth, no wisdom, no subtlety, no sensitivity, no self-awareness, no humility, no honour and no grace; all qualities, funnily enough, with which his predecessor Mr. Obama was generously blessed. So for us, the stark contrast does rather throw Trump’s limitations into embarrassingly sharp relief.
Plus, we like a laugh. And while Trump may be laughable, he has never once said anything wry, witty or even faintly amusing. Not once, ever. I don’t say that rhetorically, I mean it quite literally: not once, not ever. And that fact is particularly disturbing to the British sensibility. For us, to lack humour is almost inhuman. But with Trump, it’s a fact. He doesn’t even seem to understand what a joke is. His idea of a joke is a crass comment, an illiterate insult, a casual act of cruelty. Trump is a troll. And like all trolls, he is never funny and he never laughs; he only crows or jeers.
And scarily, he doesn’t just talk in crude, witless insults, he actually thinks in them. His mind is a simple bot-like algorithm of petty prejudices and knee-jerk nastiness.
There is never any under-layer of irony, complexity, nuance or depth. It’s all surface. Some Americans might see this as refreshingly upfront. Well, we don’t. We see it as having no inner world, no soul.
And in Britain we traditionally side with David, not Goliath. All our heroes are plucky underdogs: Robin Hood, Dick Whittington, Oliver Twist. Trump is neither plucky, nor an underdog. He is the exact opposite of that. He’s not even a spoiled rich-boy, or a greedy fat-cat. He’s more a fat white slug. A Jabba the Hutt of privilege.
And worse, he is that most unforgivable of all things to the British: a bully. That is, except when he is among bullies; then he suddenly transforms into a snivelling sidekick instead.
There are unspoken rules to this stuff, the Queensberry rules of basic decency, and he breaks them all. He punches downwards, which a gentleman should, would, could never do, and every blow he aims is below the belt. He particularly likes to kick the vulnerable or voiceless, and he kicks them when they are down.
So the fact that a significant minority, perhaps a third, of Americans look at what he does, listen to what he says, and then think‘Yeah, he seems like my kind of guy’ is a matter of some confusion and no little distress to British people, given that: - Americans are supposed to be nicer than us, and mostly are. - You don’t need a particularly keen eye for detail to spot a few flaws in the man. This last point is what especially confuses and dismays British people, and many other people too; his faults seem pretty bloody hard to miss. After all, it’s impossible to read a single tweet, or hear him speak a sentence or two, without staring deep into the abyss. He turns being artless into an art form; he is a Picasso of pettiness; a Shakespeare of shit. His faults are fractal: even his flaws have flaws, and so on ad infinitum. God knows there have always been stupid people in the world, and plenty of nasty people too. But rarely has stupidity been so nasty, or nastiness so stupid.
He makes Nixon look trustworthy and George W look smart. In fact, if Frankenstein decided to make a monster assembled entirely from human flaws, he would make a Trump. And a remorseful Doctor Frankenstein would clutch out big clumps of hair and scream in anguish: ‘My God, what have I created?’ If being a twat was a TV show, Trump would be the boxed set. PS: Others who have replied when I've posted this, have pointed out that Trump is also a Liar, a Misogynist and another one of the most unforgivable of things to us British: he hates dogs.

Just exactly why does this country need an iron dome?
Acyn…
”Trump: We’re going to build an iron dome over our country”
A response and I wondered that myself.
”Trump has no idea how Israel's Iron Dome works, but he wants one anyway. The system is designed to intercept and destroy short-range rockets and artillery shells fired from distances of 2–43 miles away, so obviously would do the U.S. no good.”

So this is where we are right now... Speaker Mike Johnson is under fire once again after saying House Republicans "can't" support a solution addressing the border until either Donald Trump or another Republican is elected to the White House.Johnson reportedly made his remarks on a Sunday evening call with House Republicans, saying he will not accept the Senate border deal crafted by U.S. Senator James Lankford (R-OK) with the support of Senate GOP Minority Leader Mitch McConnell and Senate Democratic Majority Leader Chuck Schumer. Punchbowl News co-founder Jake Sherman Sunday night reported, "Johnson says house gop position is hr2. And reiterated he won’t take the senate deal." HR2 is the House's far-right anti-immigrant legislation. It reportedly has no chance of passing in the Senate. It is opposed by immigration advocates, the Biden White House, Senate Democrats and some Senate Republicans, and other groups including Catholic Bishops. House Republican Majority Leader Steve Scalise, Sherman added, "says senate bill is DOA in house," meaning "dead on arrival." But Sherman also added news that spurred outrage: "Johnson says congress can’t solve border until Trump is elected or a republican is back in the White House." Democratic members of Congress, political observers, and immigration advocates were furious. "There it is! They don’t want to actually fix anything. Immigration and the border are just talking points to campaign on," wrote U.S. Rep. Maxwell Frost (D-FL). "Congress could of course act but House Republicans, notwithstanding their relentless demagoguery about it, don't want to act they don't want to act because acting might help Biden," observed veteran journalist John Harwood. "Wow. Only days after he suggested the border could be solved 'overnight' with executive action alone, Johnson seemingly refuses to let ANY law responding to the situation at the border be passed. It’s a staggering refusal to govern and in some ways an open embrace of chaos," said attorney and American Immigration Council policy director Aaron Reichlin-Melnick. www.rawstory.com/staggering-refusal-to-govern-johnson-sparks-outcry-for-tyingany-border-fix-to-a-trump/Some random comments, not mine.... * They have no intention of governing; they intend to rule. * So, in other words, they're no longer loyal to America, just themselves? That makes them traitors and you better wake up and start acting like your lives depend on defeating them, because for you gay, black, and non-Christians, it most surely does. * 9 million job vacancies and only 6 million unemployed workers in the USA. The Republican plan seems to be to close the border, ban abortion & contraception, and wait 18 years to fill those 3 million job openings
