I don’t why this is a problem. The ballots are sent out x number of days before the election. They need to be back by the Election Day or post marked by Election Day if mailed. There are drop off boxes that are emptied on a regular basis. Certainly by/on Election Day.
So what if the person forgets to date the ballot? Seriously so what. As long as it’s signed why is that date so important with the safeguards in place to confirm the ballot arrived during the required time frame?
