Does anyone have one? The only place for a wall mounted tv is over the fireplace. We aren't big TV watchers and the idea of using my own photos really appeals to me. Does anyone have one? How easy is it to use? Do you just display one photo or will it rotate through photos?
I probably wouldn't use an art subscription, but rather my own photos.

We have one and really like it! We started with the rotating feature on, but it felt less like a painting to me so we now keep it the same until we feel like changing it. I would NOT buy the art subscription there are zillions and zillion on etsy for nothing. We haven't had a bit of trouble and added a frame around it to really give the painting look.

Did you do the DIY frame? $700+ is spendy, but there seem to be lots of DIY suggestions.

I saw one IRL for the first time last month. If we hadn't just spent a ton of money on a dishwasher, lounge suite, and entertainment unit, I would have bought one. That's next on our wish list. I look forward to reading reviews from people I know.

I got asked about that at least 3 times last week when everyone was here for Thanksgiving. Never mind that we just moved in in September, I broke my wrist, and there are still boxes sitting around!

I have one in my addition. It's not framed though. Initially I kept it on so a picture was on the screen but I don't feel comfortable having it on 24/7, seems like a waste of electricity (minimal I'm sure) so I just turn it off like a regular tv. So I guess the frame TV is wasted on me

We love ours! I don't use my own photos, but during the holidays, I like to have seasonal art on rotation. I think I have mine cycle through every 3 minutes. After the holidays, I just pick the art I like, and leave it until I'm ready to look at something else. What I really love about it as that it doesn't have big chunky cables coming from the back of the tv, so it looks really nice mounted on the wall, especially without having to run those cables behind the sheetrock.

FWIW - you can do the "frame TV" on a regular flatscreen too, for a lot less $$. 55" LG is $350. 55" Samsung Frame is $1100.00 You can either just put your pictures on a USB stick and plug that into your TV if you want your own personal photos. Some TV's have a frame mode that you can upload a photo or photos and have them be your screensaver. I also like just going to YouTube and picking some art to play/display. Right now I am doing Christmas stuff. There are just tons of selections. Some have music, some don't I have You Tube premium, so not adds, but if you use free youtube, you might have an add play every so often. But some really pretty stuff! Here is what I am playing on my LG big flat screen now: YouTube Christmas Art for TV's.

I love ours as an art frame. I keep the same art on it and most people who come into our house don’t even know it’s a TV.
I stalked Facebook marketplace looking for huge frames and 6 months after we bought the TV I finally found a frame big enough. I paid $100 for the frame and $33 to our local frame shop to cut it down and rebuild it to the dimensions to fit the TV. We attached the frame with tie down straps that I stapled to the back of the frame with a bit of stretch so they hold the frame on well. The frame shop told me a frame like that was worth over $1500 so I feel pretty good about the deal.
Cons: with the frame on, the IR sensors don’t work. We ended up buying a hard wired sensor that connects to the OneConnect box but despite help from the manufacturer, DH is still struggling to set it up correctly. It’s also set up with out surround sound system which occasionally doesn’t work properly.
All said, I would buy it again, DH says he might not.

Here are some quick videos to inspire if you are interested in a DIY frame. They are from TikTok - but you do not need the app to watch them. Gold TV FrameFoam Trim frame
