My sister keeps her special edition Harry Potter books in fabric bags and I was thinking of making her shaker tags for each of them so she can see what she's got. My thought was to print the front cover of each book and put it as the background and then add some shaker elements inside. I can't find much in the way of good shaker elements to add though. My idea was to add different ones for each story, a blue car for Chamber of Secrets, a trophy for Goblet of Fire etc but I'm thinking that's too optimistic now 😄
I'm not in the US so shipping is a consideration but keen to hear if anyone has any ideas, especially something cool but simple that will still look fun!

I don't know how easy it is to find HP stickers for you, but you could always mount those on cardstock and use them as extra embellishments with the shakers. I know you can print out book covers fairly small, too, and then add them in. The glitter/sequins could be from whatever house your sister has been sorted into. If she's partial to 2 houses, alternate them for the 7 books? Although, if she's Ravenclaw (like me) maybe better to know if she prefers the book colors of the movie colors...

There's always ali express.
I'm sure you can find some witch hats, cauldrons, magic wands, stars, potion bottles, etc.
I've bought lots of charms for them but they are thick.

You could make multiple Shrinky Dinks out of photos of the book covers and use sequin mixes that coordinate. Google images of the characters and main theme of each book, i.e., the sorting hat, the "Have You Seen This Wizard" wanted poster, the Whomping Willow Tree, etc., print them and make more shrinky dinks.
I love your idea of making shaker tags for your sister's books!

I just saw a HP book of stickers (and there were a ton). It was at Target for $21 though. My LSS also sells awesome new(er) HP scrapbook paper. Trying to think how think you'd have to make the shaker to make it fit anything but really small items. I would go with the charms on the outside so the tags lay flat.
