Hi everyone! Today is "decorate the condo and make it a Christmas extravaganza!" Day! Emma and Molly are coming over for lunch ... we will haul out the seven foot white iridescent tree and all of the other decor and get busy! I'm lucky to have a large laundry room in my condo to fit all of the decorations. This is what I posted on Facebook today! I have a Hello Fresh delivery coming later but the chances of me wanting to cook are slim so dinner is undecided at this point ... How is everyone feeling today? What are your plans today? What is on your menu tonight? Have a relaxing Sunday everybody!

Hi everybody. We went with some friends yesterday to the Christkindl market in Grand Rapids. It was eh. But I got my pic with Santa. I've got laundry going and I'm quilting. Finally done cutting and starting to sew. My favorite part. I'm going to hit the shower in just a bit and then make some bread for dinner. I made oatmeal chocolate chip cookies yesterday morning. Jeremy managed to find a 2.5 pound slab of uncut bacon yesterday. So I will make him a big pot of split pea soup today. I don't like green peas. So I will have a filet of salmon. Which he doesn't like. Bread is my nemesis so wish me luck.

Good morning, leannec . Sounds like a really fun day for both you and your dds. Enjoy every second. As, you all know, I decorated last week and I think the paw prints are gone from my tree. I'm feeling a bit more human today. I'll rest and get my wind back for the week. We'll watch football this afternoon and I know a nap will happen. I don't know what dh will have for dinner. Maybe it'll be soup from the freezer or tacos?
That's a really cute photo, jeremysgirl. Enjoy your bread making. Yum. Have a fun, relaxing day, tribe.

Good evening. Our weather here has calmed down and we have had no more snow since about midnight last night, thank goodness. There is still snow everywhere, as temperatures have stayed below freezing point all day, but the local authorities and regular people have begun clearing roads and sidewalks. Before we headed to church, I chopped vegetables and set them simmering in the chicken stock I made yesterday from some bones I found abandoned in the freezer. We decided to drive to church, as not all public transport was back and running, but forgot one important factor - while roads have been cleared, the same cannot be said for kerbside parking spots, so DH ended up dropping me off near our church, then driving around to find a place. We ended up two underground stops from church, so he was only a bit late. Once home, I added the chicken meat to my soup while DH heated up some frozen bread rolls for our lunch. He then headed to work for a bit while I was going to bake our Christmas cake. That plan was foiled however, as I forgot to check we had enough flour before we went shopping yesterday, so it will have to wait until tomorrow. Instead, I started a new knitting project. Dinner tonight is a simple butter chicken curry with rice and bok choy.

Happy Sunday! We have a sunny crisp day after several days of clouds! scrapmaven - So glad to hear you are feeling a bit better today. Take it easy and continue to get better! jeremysgirl - Love that coat! Cute pic with Mr & Mrs Claus. I hope he is agreeable to dropping off lots more fabrics and yarn for you this year! Today I plan to get some sewing done and a little decorating squared away. The card group comes Tuesday morning so I need to finish up prep for that. Since we each bring our own lunch all I need to provide is a snack for morning coffee and a dessert. Will be making Pumpkin Spice cupcakes today and will hold off icing them until tomorrow. It's a cake recipe that I used to make every Thanksgiving and will be my first attempt at baking them as cupcakes so wish me luck. I also plan to make a Key Lime Pie tomorrow as well. Not sure what I'll do for morning coffee. May pick up some savory appetizers at Costco to just heat and warm. Not sure what dinner will be. There is some ground bison in the fridge so perhaps a hash for DH. Hope everyone has a restful Sunday!

we were in maryland yesterday, at my daughter in law's brother's house.. and christmas joy filled the whole house.. 50 christmas villages around the christmas tree and more!! we were supposed to go out for dinner.. then everyone was drunk, so we called in an order.. and went to another restaurant to pick it up (I was not in charge, I was just driving through the thick fog) and the brother kept giving me the wrong driving directions so it took a long time to get home.. then it turns out the brother forgot to order what I wanted. but his wife made a salad for me at home. they had pizza.
for lunch, we are going out to the fancy dc place.. DC Harvest.. farm to table handcrafted food. then later this afternoon, we are going to local bar and watch the 49' ers win.. and have bar food
we had traditional crab cakes at annapolis yesterday.. and my daughter in law saw friends from grade school.. and knew everyone. had lunch with her parents. I'm almost ready to be at home and cook a simple stirfry.. two more days

Hi Everyone, I started to read yesterday’s thread and then got distracted. It must be all the crazy medicine. So I went back and read it again today. leannec Cute memes the last couple of days. I hope that you have a fantastic time today decorating with your beautiful daughters. jeremysgirl I love that picture of you! You are beautiful! I love that coat. Where did you get it? scrapmaven Our beautiful Queen. I am so glad that you are home and resting. I pray that the doctors come up with an easy fix for your healing. sueg I am so glad that the snow finally subsided. I saw the pictures that you posted and I was amazed at the amount in the pictures. I am glad that you made it to church and back safely. Enjoy your knitting. **GypsyGirl** Your cupcakes sound delicious. Have fun sewing and decorating. ntsf What a great time you had yesterday. I am so happy for you that you are enjoying your time with your family. bklyngal62 It is so nice that you are able to live around and enjoy your family. Today sounds like a great day for you. Friday, I started prednisone. Yuck. I didn’t fall asleep until yesterday (Saturday) until 11 pm. I woke up at 3 am; when ODS surprised us, by coming home and then at 10:45 this morning. Yesterday, when I took my second dose, each pill was a complete adrenaline rush. My mind was going a million miles a minute, but my body was still hurting so it was a weird experience. Last night dinner was fend for yourself. Today I am hoping to get some decorating done. I still need to take down my fall decor in areas. Dinner tonight is spaghetti with a salad. I hope all of you have a peaceful rest of the day.

Good morning! We just got back from our walk, DH is watching golf and I'm getting ready to do laundry. I still haven't started decorating the tree. Maybe today. We're leaving Tuesday for a mini-get-away to Napa. DH plays golf on Wednesday while I hit the various places in town. We're staying in a hotel within walking distance to where I lived for 18 months in 58-60. We'll come home on Thursday. Dinner will be spaghetti and meatballs. Go 9ers! From jeremysgirl :

DH and I did a quick trip into the city this morning to do a couple errands. We picked up some fresh bagels at the bagel store and also some dog treats they were selling with the proceeds to the local humane society (from which we adopted Walker).
It’s another cold wet rainy day. I’m so surprised that we haven’t had any snow here yet. Hopefully anything crazy holds off until after Wednesday which is my annual shopping trip with my best friend.
After DHs nap, I’m heading downstairs to make some cards. My mom gives a birthday card to everyone in her apt building so she goes through a lot each year. I use up my stash and it saves her some money.
Supper tonight is grilled steak.

I have beef stew simmering on this rainy day. I’ll have it for dinner while the others have pan fried haddock, seasoned curly fries and a salad. I didn’t buy any crusty bread and I’ll restrain myself from making biscuits. I’m trying to reach my next weight loss goal before I return to work next week.

I always think about how great it would be to be thin again, but then I remember how much I like carbs. 😂 No but seriously I'm a hot mess when it comes to dieting. I just pat myself on the back because I eat well, non-processed. So there's that. But damn, sugar me up.

Happy Sunday! jeremysgirl cute picture! I thought the same thing about our Christkindlmarkt. It was so crowded. We had a nice time with my brother in law and his girlfriend. We then went to another town to a local whole in the wall tavern that has the best food. It is on the Main Street and a lot of shops were still open so us girls went shopping while we waited for a table. I’ve been grocery shopping this morning, got laundry going and have been working on Christmas cards. DH finally got the lights on the real tree that’s on the screened in porch. My goal is to get the ornaments on it today. It is cold so I’m not looking forward to it but I keep telling myself I can then sit and look at it all lit up in the evenings. Hoping you both start feeling better scrapmaven and destined2bmom . Dinner will be ham and scalloped potatoes.

My goal is actually the third one I’ve made since I started the weight loss program I’ve been doing since July. They encourage you to make smaller, more attainable goals. This one is only 2 pounds away!

We're going to have chili & cornbread again, same as last night. So good though! Its' foggy and rainy here again just like yesterday, so I figured why not just repeat the dinner too? LOL scrapmaven and destined2bmom, I hope you're feeling better soon! Prednisone does that to me too, but not quite to the level you're describing. jeremysgirl, I love the picture of you with the "Clauses"! Very cute, enjoy your quilting!

We had a busy day. DSO was outside cleaning the paving, and I was inside cleaning the carpet, using a friend's carpet cleaner. Then I set to work cleaning my office. Ugh, so much STUFF! At least now I have my second monitor set up, so now I can have three screens (including my laptop) for work. Yay!
Dinner was rechauffe pizza from Saturday night. We're addicted to the puff pastry pizza from a local-ish pizza place that DS 'discovered'.

scrapmaven so is little terminator kitty smug with his previous achievement or looking to up his game? leannec yes joy everywhere! I like after Christmas removing it all and it feels fresh! LOL destined2bmom you and I have sons who like to drive at night but that is even earlier than my guy. 3 am arrival is a little early. I hope the med works after all that. jeremysgirl what a lovely photo! Today I finished putting out my Christmas decorations except for the tree we still need to buy. Though I think I forgot a few items to take out of one of the bins. Oh well it's back up in the attic. Maybe when we do the tree they will come down again. DH is firmly implanted on the sofa. Tonight maybe a tri-tip with jasmine rice and roasted asparagus.

destined2bmom that sounds miserable. I am a 5-6 hour a night sleeper but last night I slept 9 and tonight I’m already tired. We worked on Christmas decorating again then went to ikea because I want to make a greenhouse cabinet. Now I need to order the other stuff like lines and a humidity gauge. We’ll see how my plants fare in it. It’s mostly for my small plants. Obviously my 9 ft fiddle leaf fig won’t be going in nor my monstera plant. Dinner was tortilla crusted tilapia with augratin potatoes and salad. Thanks to Costco. Cute picture jeremysgirl. It’s a bummer the market was t better. I’ll be in Plymouth next weekend for dd3’s birthday. Hopefully there’s something fun we can do.
