I swear that place gave me anxiety just looking at it! Yikes.

It almost feels like a hoarder had a house big enough for all of their stuff to be out of the buckets and bags. Someone needs to go to decorator school. Yikes.

Uh, well, I guess you could say the owners were free thinkers and not slaves to following convention. And they sure seemed to be all about having fun and enjoying themselves, no matter what anyone else thought. This makes me want to know about the people who lived there. Did they have a lot of children? Have a dozen foster teens? In the end, it would seem only two people lived there and I can picture them sitting in their chairs on either side of the toaster oven. And what is up with those elevated platforms with the stairs leading to the top? There certainly wasn’t room to stand up on them.

i couldn't get through all the photos. no, just no. the price must reflect the size and location of the property and not the condition of the house.

This is exactly the house my 10 YO DS who is autistic with ADHD would design if I gave him a blank check. So I guess...good for them on their creativity and whimsy?

Umm. That solitary bed and chair in what I assume is the basement? Do you think that’s for the child they don’t like? Or maybe their current hostage? 🧐

Crazy. Built in 1972 and it looks like it hasn’t been updated since then - old yellowed tubs and such. Ick. Nearly a million for this in ND 😂

Looks like a whole lot of "not in compliance with current codes".
That swing airplane ride and metal slide......look like a nightmare waiting to happen.

That was the other thing.. almost a million for an old outdated weird house in ND? And because you have a bunch of old crap in the backyard that looks like another outdated amusement park you think it's worth that much? It would be one thing if it was updated, but everything looks to be a lawsuit in waiting.
You can have a weird house that could be fun, but really this one is just nasty.

🫨 So much…dingy-ness…so many inexplicable things…one photo looked like a village hall…within the house…just yuck and ugliness all around.

Hmm.....the winters are long and cold in ND. Minot has an air force base. Perhaps Lucy rented to AF guys? Did Lucy have lots of children and this was their home?
Whatever the back story, this is one unique house.

I grew up there. Lucy’s amusement park was a place to get ice cream and play mini golf in the 80’s. It does not appear to have changed and the house is…odd.

It's so incredibly ugly in every way--style, design, AND decor! Well done, there aren't many houses we can all agree on!
I particularly enjoyed the built-in Kleenex dispenser on the wall, and the little house with carpeted stairs to a cramped loft looking out over a vinyl-covered Jacuzzi. I would have been ALL OVER that in 1982, when that was probably added on.

It needs to be promoted as "minature golf and other recreation games" site with caregiver home attached. Maybe it would sell then.
