I am trying to find something that I'll like.
On your desk or table - what do you use to hold your most used pens, tools, tape gun etc?
Pics if you have would be great! Thank you!

I have a dollar store clear plastic carousel from their office section. It isn't as big as the one from M's above - I have limited desk space. It was a FABULOUS addition to basic desk organization. Mine holds: 6 pairs of scissors (middle), pencils/journaling pens, pokey tool, pick-up tool, bone folders, hole punch, my liquid glues, 2 ink blenders, my small dot adhesive...and other bits and pieces. It's only about 6" diameter.
But I would give your dollar tree a look!

I use a Boon Organizer. I’ve had it for several years and would buy it again if something ever happened to it. It holds a lot and I like that it’s tilted rather than vertical.

A small 6 compartment carousel from Home Goods. It's big enough to hold journaling pens, regular pens/pencils, tiny attacher, many sets of scissors, small tape runner and glue, and various tools (spatula, tweezers, craft knife, etc). I used to have the bigger making memories one, but it takes up so much space on my desk. That carousel and a 2-tiered tray (frequently used washi, a few embellishments, eraser, whiteout) sits on the top of an Ikea cart. Also in the cart is my mini die cut machine and Making Memories tool kit. I have one of those hanging organizers on the side of the card for my rulers, larger scissors, ATG and smaller paper trimmer.

I found a large lazy Susan at HL on clearance. I put a tool caddy tote on it as well. IMG_5740 by Nancy Tim, on Flickr

LOL, I have the exact same tool tote as 950nancy, but mine is not sitting on a lazy susan. Next to the tool caddy, I also have a small hutch/bookshelf kind of thing that DH bought for me. It has a couple of small drawers, a small shelf that holds things like my swatch book, a sketchbook, and some small open shelves that hold my Xyron and a couple of my most-used punches. I'll see if I can post a photo later.

The organizer on my primary work surface is a white Pottery Barn Kids Art/Craft Lazy Susan, bought 15+ years ago like this espresso one (not my image/listing). Check out Pottery Barn/Teen/Kids/Outlet, Container Store, Ikea, Michaels, Joann, HomeGoods/Marshals/TJMaxx, Staples, Target, etc. for destop/office storage (plus bath/cosmetics & kitchen/fridge/pantry organizers, metal planters, etc. that can be repurposed). HTH.

ETA Mine is all black, but this is the current version>>> Search for STAINLESS STEEL ROTATING UTENSIL HOLDER at Pampered Chef website.

Totally Tiffany Ditto Organizer and it sits on a Totally Tiffany rotating design board so it spins. I love that thing. It holds a ton.

I don't like a lot on my desk. I have a favorite mug with my most used items (scissors, pencil, tweezers, bone folder and embellishment wand). Everything else is in a desk drawer with a divided organizer.

I have used a Pampered Chef tool utensil caddy for over 20 years. You are my hero. I have a couple of the MM wooden carousels, one with crafting supplies and one with office supplies. But I like the look of the PC caddy much better, and used ones are available for sale. Like cmpeter I don’t like much on my desk, but I don’t have a close drawer option that would work for this use. Until I get one, I think I’ll switch to the PC caddy. But I need to clean out a lot of things that aren’t use-all-the-time tools and supplies. Right now I have way too much in there and it’s a bit of a pain to find some things.

My craftroom has vintagey decor -- there are a few different things on my desk for keeping tools & supplies close at hand. The main piece is this galvanized tray with 10 bins (I purchased mine at Hobby Lobby) www.antiquefarmhouse.com/galvanized-divided-tray-organizer.html . The side facing me holds various adhesives (tape runners, glue dots, photo corners, liquid glue, photo splits) and staplers (e.g. Tiny Attacher), the opposite side holds a few stamps and punches I reach for frequently, eye glasses, photo wipes, post-it notes, etc. On each end of this caddy I have a pencil cup (looks like a mini lobster bucket) - one holds pens and pencils and the other holds small tools like tweezers, hole punches, an eraser, CM multi-tool, Cricut spatula etc. An old fashioned mug tree holds all my scissors and foam tape rolls. Basically, all the supplies/tools I reach for frequently are right in front of me. (Sorry I don't have anywhere setup online for posting photos that I can link to.) I used to have the MM carousel on my desk, but the desk I have now is too narrow for something that wide,so it sits across from me on a another furniture piece and holds secondary tools used less frequently -- mostly pens and markers, but also a few more tools, adhesives, and ink applicators.

I use this, too, and love it. I like it better than the Pampered Chef caddy I used to use, because it's tilted. Here's a similar one: a.co/d/bHkIz5BI also use one of these for things like tweezers, bone folder, pick tool (stabby thing to get out die cuts - not sure what it's called), etc: a.co/d/bsNpqTg

I might be looking for a new basic tool organizer, so this is great information. I also have a thread-topic-adjacent question. I hadn’t looked at Pampered Chef in a very long while, but checking out the tool caddy, I noticed this spice organizer link. I’m feeling a little obsessed with it. Has anyone tried it for crafty things?

My dh made me some organizers and yesterday painted them.
One is for my cart for stamp/die sets, the other for my work table to hold items I need. I will post a photo.

I could see that being good for stickles, paints, sprays, nuvo drops, and similar. Yes, exactly! I have a smaller three-tier shelf with ribbon spools on the top and some sprays, washi tape, glitter, etc. I do have my Hero Pearls and some ink refills in of those SB.C thingies and I would love to separate the two types of things. And this at least looks like it would hold so much more and use my new space more efficiently. And I envision putting my Perfect Pearls in the little drawer, too.

Found that PC spice organizer on eBay for around $23 including shipping and tax. Fingers crossed it works out!
