I don't have any links. I heard this from a friend. The word is Amazon has been hacked and they are adding locker addresses to the accounts. Mine had 2 that I have never, ever used. My sister had 2 with one 5 states away.
I changed my password, confirmed two step verification, removed my payments and checked my archived orders to make sure nothing I did not order was there.

This is the second time I've had to jump through Password Hoops today. So sick of the thieving dirt bags interfering with honest people's functioning.

Also always go to your account and clean out your wallet each time. Even if you click to not save it,it does.

"This isn’t a data security matter and our systems are secure. Amazon pickup locations were added to a small number of customer accounts in error, and we are working to fix the issue. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused, and customers with questions about their account are welcome to contact customer service."
Straight from Amazon.

Anytime I order, Amazon suggests a locker that is close to me, but it is never in my saved delivery addresses.

A locker was in my account. I think Amazon does it to save them time to make group drops at one site and/or for people who work.

Where would you find locker addresses? Go to "Your Account" followed by "Your Addresses." I didn't have any added but I did clean up my address list. It was good to look. Thank you.

Yes, this is fake. Never depend on something you "heard from a friend" unless you have legitimate links. -- As for the locker addresses, Amazon always suggests those for me every time I order. I just ignore that suggestion and choose my regular home address (or one of the kids' addresses if I'm having it sent to them).

That's where I checked and I also removed an address I no longer needed, but there was nothing there I had not used before. Thanks.

Even though this may not be a cybersecurity issue, it's always a good idea to regularly check all your online accounts for anything unusual. It's also a good idea to change your passwords regularly, and not to reuse your passwords, and to use multi-factor authentication wherever it's offered.

I didn’t have any lockers added, but when I placed an order yesterday, it showed my complete address list and there were two addresses there that I have used in the past but was sure I deleted - one is our previous home address which we left in July 2022 and the other is DH’s previous work address.

LOL I had about every dorm address my DD has lived in, plus an amazon locker we've used for her at school. It was good to clean them up!

It was good to clean up old addresses, and I did have lockers added. All were related to my common shipped addresses.

No lockers or strange addresses on my account, but it's always good to check. Thanks for the heads up. <3
