I pulled a muscle in my jaw a few years ago. From eating licorice of all things 🤦🏼♀️
I’ve had a horrible cough with bronchitis and I have a terrible pain in my jaw each time I cough. Pretty darn sure I pulled a muscle from coughing so hard! I remember before sticking with soft foods and lessening chewing while it healed. This pain appears mostly when I cough. Anyone had this??

That sounds painful! I’ve had rib or abdominal pain from coughing but not in my jaw! Hope it heals soon 😊

That sounds like no fun. 😖
I had some trouble with tmj years ago. I got a custom bite guard at quite a high price, and chewed thru it in no time. Grr The Dr I saw for the bite guard recommended I see a chiro that specializes in releasing jaw muscles. He has turned my life around. My tmj is gone, I don't clench at night anymore, and the clicking I had every time I opened my mouth is gone. He releases the muscles behind my jaw on the outside, and then releases the muscles from the inside of my mouth. I go monthly. The first couple of times it really hurt, but I got relief. Now it only hurts when I go longer than a month without it.
Perhaps something like that would help.
