I made this yesterday and served it on French bread. DH said it was too messy. It's just the two of us, so I have plenty of leftovers. Any ideas for me? Here's the recipe link: Recipe
UPDATE:
I gave DH some options. Pasta, different buns, rice, or eat with crackers. He chose crackers! It was really good that way.

I'd toss it in a tortilla with lots of greens and maybe some purple onion.

I'd roll that up in a flour tortilla and pan fry it like a taquito.

I’d add broccoli and rice or pasta.

I would roll it up in canned crescent roll dough and bake. Or, press the crescents flat in a 9x13 pan and spread the chicken mixture on top.
In general, it seems a bit squishy, so maybe add something crunchy on top - chopped lettuce/celery or fried onions.

I’d use it to make quesadillas!

Add some cooked penne pasta and a dab of stock or milk to loosen the sauce and serve it as a casserole.
Bonue points for putting it in a baking pan and adding more cheese in top and baking it like mac and cheese.

Can you pair it with some pasta? You might need to make a white sauce, or whatever kind of sauce.

I would make it into a pie - line the pie tin with puff pastry, dump in that chicken filling, then add a ‘lid’ of puff pastry. Crimp the edges, brush some milk and/or egg white over the lid as wash, cut a couple of slashes in the lid to let steam escape, and bake for about 30 minutes until pastry is golden. Either one big pie, or smaller individual pies. Yum! You could also mix some frozen peas in with the mixture to add some variety to the texture.

This sounds delicious. How did it turn out? Was it too liquidy? Is that what made it to messy?

I'd make patties and fry it like a crab cake. ETA maybe add some bread crumbs for stability?
