Such a sad loss. He was only 61.
I first saw him in City of Angels and was mesmerized by his smile. Watched him on Homicide. Brooklyn 99 and many other shows. He was very talented. He leaves a wife and 3 childre.
RIP.

I just saw the news and am sad. I had no idea he was 61, he looked much younger.

In the early days of the pandemic lock-down, my family began to watch an episode of Brooklyn 99 each evening together. The laughter from that show got us through some pretty tough days. Captain Holt was such a great character on that show. Such a loss.

Honestly I didn't recognize the name but with the mention of City of Angels I had to google to see if it was him. I never remembered his name but if I were flipping channels and he was on I would definitely watch. He was a very talented actor.

He was an wonderful actor with a captivating voice. My kids watched "Brooklyn Nine Nine" and my husband and I watched "Homicide." I liked him in "Men of a Certain Age" with Ray Romano and Scott Bakula.
Condolences to his family. May he rest in peace.
