Yesterday Johnson said he want to prove the Republicans can govern. At the same time agreeing with the idiots of the party on opening an impeachment inquiry on President Biden based on basically nothing. One Republican House member admitted they were doing this to help trump by showing President Biden was impeached as well.
Meanwhile President Zelensky was in town asking for aid needed to defeat Putin which by doing so benefits the United States bigly. And after observing this behavior by the Republicans in Congress he must be wondering what the hell is going on in this country. Good question.
Wow look at that taking responsibility for his actionsā¦.
Aaron Ruparā¦
Hunter Biden: "I'm here today to make sure the House committee's illegitimate investigations of my family do not proceed on distortions, manipulated evidence, & lies. I'm here today to acknowledge I have made mistakes in my life & wasted opportunities...for that I am responsible"
&
āHUNTER BIDEN: For 6 yrs MAGA Republicansā¦impugned my character, invaded my privacy, attacked my wife, children, family & friends. They ridiculed my struggle w/addiction, belittled my recoveryā¦tried to dehumanize meāall to embarrass & damage my father who's devoted his entire public life to service.ā
&
āāI am here to testify at a public hearing today to answer any of the committee's legitimate questions. Republicans do not want an open process where Americans can see their tactics.ā

Didnāt he have a letter or something about all of this? Aaron Ruparā¦ āAmazing. For the most part I think Hunter Biden is a creep but I was impressed how he handled himself by refusing to testify behind closed doors. If he testifies behind closed doors the repubs will lie through their teeth and misrepresent what is said. There is only one question, What are the repubs afraid of? If they are so fucking sure of themselves they should love the chance for the public to see what they have. Only sneaks and liars like doing things behind closed doors.
My husband turns on what he calls the traitor channel, FOX, when something goes down in politics. He likes to hear what they say. This morning I came into the room and he was laughing out loud because they were losing their minds.š
Again, why are they afraid of a public hearing? I think I know why. If the proceedings are public the repubs will again look like the fools they are.

Now back to the clowns aka as Republican members of the House. Also keep in mind this guy ignored the subpoena issued by the January 6 Committee. The Recountā¦ āRep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) says the House Oversight Committee plans to move forward with contempt of Congress proceedings for Hunter Biden if he continues to reject the committee's subpoena to testify behind closed doors. Biden on Wednesday indicated he would only testify in public.ā x.com/therecount/status/1734970505252249769?s=61&t=j45uMgNk1i8O0YllKF58nwA response that I think is a correct assumption. āThe DOJ is not going to bring charges on anyone who is willing to testify in public. Republicans got outplayed by Hunter.ā

Iām posting this here because of President Bidenās last sentence. Itās clear the Republicans are doing their job period.
Then I reread it. Score one for the Presidentā¦.
President Biden
āHouse Republicans want to leave town without passing critical funding for Israel and Ukraine.
On our border, you can't say there's a crisis, then say you want to leave for three weeks.
The ball is in their court.
Iām doing my job. Republicans on the Hill should do theirs.ā
This response has made a very valid pointā¦
āRepublicans like to sound the alarm about an issue but never actually do anything about it. They're pathetic.ā

Can we all have a moment of silence for me? So I get to hear all the crazy. However, there is a lot of talking back to the TV and mumbling under my breath. Last night he just handed me the remote and walked out of the room. I just don't think there is anything out there that will change their minds. And I like to think my DH is intelligent. However, keeping that (R) on his voting card is more important to him. There is a moment of hope every now and then from a host. Then it seems they get talked to in their ear and they are right back at it. The mornings are the worst. Until you get to Jesse Watters at night. And Sean. Geesh...
