This is our fifth snowfall this fall. We've had a lot of snow and all on the weekends or holidays. Streets are icy and they already called off school for tomorrow. I have all of my Christmas gifts in boxes or bags and plan to start wrapping and tagging and getting them under the tree. I feel like if I say I am going to do it, I'll try to be more accountable.
Anyone done with the wrapping already?

I've barely started my shopping, let alone wrapping!
I don't like the snow, but I sure do like snow days - and I'd LOVE one right now.
Hope you enjoy yours!

You need some Christmas Pjs, egg nog and a holiday movie! Wrapping Christmas presents is one of my favorite parts of the holiday.
I've wrapped everything we have, including stocking stuffers so we don’t have to hide when we load everyone’s stockings. Except 2 presents that are waiting other parts to arrive. But, and this is a big but, only half of the presents are here. We are running way behind this year. Most items should arrive around the same time so I’ll do my movie/wrapping marathon then. I can only dream of being able to do it while it’s snowing. Heck, I was excited we had a high down in the 50s today.
And we still have 1 present and 2 stocking stuffers to buy, and I don’t have any ideas for those.

950nancy where do you live? For some reason I was thinking MN like me. There is no snow where I'm at. South of the twin cities.

It was a good 10-12 inches and gone in 3 days. We've had a lot of snow for fall. Thankfully we get 60 degree days in between (at least for now) and everything melts pretty fast.

Ah! We've had several snowfalls here already too. But then it warmed up again! There is very little snow left. We joined a snowmobile club up by our cabin in WI, so it's our fault there's no snow in MN or WI, lol!

I think its funny as we live in the same city and I'm thinking what in the world is she talking about? A few 2" snows and we need a whole lot more. That one at Halloween for us was about 2". This one is a whopping 3ish inches. You live quite a bit closer to the mountain than I do though.
Enjoy your day in!

I am done shopping and wrapping except for a couple of gifts still to arrive. And everything that needed to be mailed has been. For once, I'm on top of things. Most years it isn't this smooth.

Sigh. I have stuff in my scrap room to wrap, but no energy to do so. I need to wrap stuff, so that I'm not wrapping like a mad woman on Christmas eve. I also need to make cards.
Enjoy the snow. Who cares about wrapping? I'd be outside building a snow man. (I speak as someone who has never lived in the snow.)

That is true. When I first started teaching, we didn't get a snow day for over 10 years while everyone else in the city (except Harrison and maybe Ft. Carson) had it off. I do think almost every district in town was closed or delayed today though. We are on the side of Cheyenne Mountain a good mile up the hill. I do feel like my friend who lives more north does get more snow than we do in general. I've been told that the mountains make our snowfalls really different in the city.

Lol I think I'd be good with another storm or two (love my snow days) and then I'll be ready for spring. We actually get more snow in the spring than the winter in many cases.

Filled my feeder with 10 pounds of seed and within 5 minutes we had blue jays, stellar jays, and hairy woodpeckers along with assorted little birds. Shortly after there were turkeys galore. You can hear them burbling across the neighborhood. The snow is a little too fluffy to get it stick for a snowman.
