Well, I googled the ending for those of you saying it didn't spoil it I guess we will have to agree to disagree. I mean she flat out said what the last scene was according to Google. ^shrig^ |

I didn't spoil the ending. You would have no idea unless you watched the whole thing to the end and that's really not a spoiler, now is it? I can’t comprehend how you don’t think that’s a spoiler. You literally posted the end of the movie…what can that be other than a spoiler? I cannot comprehend you in general most days, so I'll call that a win for me! |

Your already googled the end, not sure what was ruined for you then. I never said that was the end and no one who hasn't seen it would know that if you hadn't commented. The girl is obsessed with Friends from the opening scene. I commented on having to watch Friends for the rest of your life. Never said it was the end of anything. Yes, we'll agree to disagree. |

I haven’t seen the movie yet but I think the concept in itself is frightening. The past 3 yrs have been a wild ride from a pandemic that may or may not have been man made to a couple of war fronts. We have Iran, Russia, North Korea with very reckless leaders who couldn’t care less about loss of life and are probably too self centered to care what happens to the world in general. Putin for one has been spewing imperialistic dreams and wants nothing more than the return of the Soviet Union. Statues of Stalin have been put back on the streets and school children now have Patriotism classes. Some of our politicians have no interest in solving any problems and are more concerned with their petty power struggles.

I was not shocked at the end, until I realized it was the end. Then it was a “you have got to be kidding me.” Only to laugh a few minutes later. Did some of the events, such as the weirdness with the animals, have an explanation in the book? They felt like lost-in-translation moments. I read the book a few years ago, but I recall the animal stuff being related to the things that seemed to be going in the human world. I don't want to out anything more specific because people seem annoyed. I will say that, again, have not seen the movie, but I can see how the book may not translate. A lot of it is just not dialogue. |

But what did you guys think about the *concept* of taking down our country. I get it was annoying but how did that part make you guys feel? Did it seem plausible? And isn't it scary how vulnerable we really are if our internet/satellites are taken down? I've been thinking about this movie a lot since we watched it and have talked about it with co-workers. I don't like how dependent we've become on technology, especially AI. I absolutely think this could happen and it's scary. |

This could be a really thought provoking movie. Truly this could be an easy way to take down a country like ours since we are so divided to begin with. We already know how crazy people got during the pandemic and how that seemed to set so many people down crazy paths of beliefs. It was a bit slow and dragged at points but it was good.

I haven't seen the movie or read the book but I knew how it ended because you literally told it. Your comment makes no sense unless that is how it ends. I watched the movie, read your comment and went back to the post and there is no spoiler of the ending. |

I wondered what was going on with the deer, too. Yes and the birds having issues with migrating while maybe an issue would one or two days really cause them to be that out of place. The deer really creeped me out. Others have said they were trying to tell us something or warn us but it just didn’t make sense to me. |
