Before Putin invaded Ukraine he sent NATO a list of demands including a list of countries he didn’t want to join NATO. Finland was one of them. If this is true and the US Just before Putin invaded Ukraine he sent NATO a laundry list of things he wanted including a list of countries that could not join NATO. Finland was one of them. IMO the only reason Finland has made this agreement was because Putin invaded Ukraine. Doesn’t matter there won’t be US Troops along the Russian/Finland border. It‘s the very fact US Troops will be in Finland that will get Putin all huffy. And he brought this change by his actions. Nexta….. Finland will provide the U.S. with 15 areas of the country for military depots and bases
The Finnish Foreign Ministry has announced its intention to sign a defense cooperation agreement with the United States, which will allow the U.S. military to place its bases, warehouses, weapons and contingents in 15 military areas of the country. These include naval and air bases, garrisons and training grounds, among others. The agreement will be signed Dec. 18 in Washington.Finnish Defense Minister Antti Häkkänen stressed that the agreement does not envisage the deployment of U.S. bases and military contingents in Eastern Finland - on the border with Russia.” x.com/jayinkyiv/status/1735697418216149293?s=61&t=j45uMgNk1i8O0YllKF58nw

Putin's plans fall right in line with TFG plans to send hundreds of thousands troops to the southern border, including pulling some of our troops from Germany etc!! *** The ambitious plans are believed to have stemmed from Trump's top immigration aide, Stephen Miller, who tussled with Secretary of Defense Mark Esper in an attempt to fortify the region with 250,000 troops while the nation was hamstrung in the pandemic. The scale of the operation appears to be dependent on Trump's whims. *** He's called for "many thousands" to tens of thousands and even hundreds of thousands of soldiers to be posted there (even pulling some from bases in Germany), according to various sources who spoke with the outlet. “I have heard anywhere between 100,000 to 300,000 from President Trump, Stephen Miller, and others on what may be required to get the job done right,” one of the people familiar with the matter says. “There are differences of opinion on how many you would actually need, and everyone has their own ideas.… Nothing is set in stone.” www.rawstory.com/trump-deploy-us-troops/
