Asking at the last minute, but even if we can't start tonight, I'd love to hear which shows you enjoyed.
We really liked AWAY with Hilary Swank, Broadchurch, Mare of Easttown. I'm blanking on others.
TIA!

Shetland was really good. 7 seasons, I think. 8 or so episodes, one case per season. I liked the actors, thought they were really good. In The Line of Duty was good too.

Severance, Hijack and Crowded Room on Apple+ are really good.
I second the Diplomat on Neltflix. I just watched My Life with the Walter Boys also on Netflix. It’s one of those teenage dramas but it helped pass time well enough.
I Know this Much is True was excellent. It’s HBO on demand & Max.

The Night Manager ~ 6 episodes, one season and done. Fabulous!!
ETA: The Last Tango in Halifax is also a great show! I think each season is 6 episodes. Nicola Walker stars.

Miss Scarlet and the Duke - 3 seasons with 6 episodes each. The 4th season starts in January.
I will say there were a couple episode that were missing a key element in season 3, but I love the chemistry between the two main characters. 🔥
It's on PBS.

We loved Extraordinary on Disney+, it's hilarious in a very British, very irreverent way.

I'm just finishing The Crown and then I'm going to start on Slow Horses. I started to watch a few years ago but got distracted with other shows. It's really highly rated and recommended so that will be my next show.

Is each season its own story? Yes, based off a specific book which it cites at the beginning of each episode.

I am watching Daisy Jones and the Six right now. I read the book and really liked it, possibly because I was running around the clubs on the strip during that era and most of my friends were in bands or singers. It really does capture that time.

We just watched Payback of Britbox. 6 episodes. We really enjoyed it.
Another vote for Fisk on Netflix. Two seasons, six episodes each, 20-30ish minutes each. Very clever and funny.

I love Reservation Dogs on Hulu. 3 seasons. Thanks. I've heard good things and may watch it on my own sometime. DH doesn't watch many series, prefers to read in his downtime, but we'll likely watch one or two of the short shows during the holidays.

The other book by Taylor Jenkins Reid that I liked was Malibu Rising.

Pretty much any British police drama you can find. They are usually short seasons of only 6 or so episodes. Some of my favourite ones I've watched this year: The Bay Unforgotten Annika Shetland Blue Lights Time
And two of my all time favourites: Happy Valley Line of Duty
I would need a full page to mention all the other British shows I have enjoyed.
I'm glad to see the Australian comedy Fisk crack a few mentions here. It's great!
Two other Australian shows that I have just watched and are really good (if you can find them): The Lost Flowers of Alice Hart One Night

We both LOVED it!!! I tried reading the book after but it seemed so different that I couldn't get into it. I loved it so much! Four of my top five songs on Spotify Wrapped this year were songs from the Aurora album. I haven't read the book. I've found that a lot of people who read the book first weren't too keen on the show, and definitely weren't keen on Riley Keough as Daisy. I personally thought she was amazingly brilliant and perfect for the role. Major girl crush!
