Online Shopping deliveries - a sad story and a funny!

I've already had one package presumably lost by the post office. I sent cookies from a local shop to my daughter's workplace and the package tracking has it sitting in the destination post office since December 8 "waiting for delivery next business day." It's a small town so she went to the post office the other day and spoke with the postmaster who went and looked and couldn't find it and then daughter caught the mailman and he swears he delivered it. Dd could not find the cookie crumb trail so all is lost I suppose.
Well today FedEx delivers a package to our home that wasn't supposed to be here until Monday according to tracking. It's from Cabelas which is an outdoor store. DH had ordered fishing waders and boots. He got the waders the other day, so today he is expecting the boots. He said to me as he is bringing in the package, this feels kind of light for a pair of boots. He opens the outer package and notices the boot box seal is broken. He opens the box and there is only one boot! The left one. I'm thinking they fulfilled his order from the store and they left the right boot on the rack
Conducted an online chat with customer service who kept apologizing and they will have a pair of boots here on Tuesday. Yes, I need to return the single boot (they emailed a postage paid label)!
