I ordered an item (dh's main gift) on Dec 3. It's been sitting at Shipping Label Created, USPS Awaiting Item, since Dec 13. It says Estimated delivery: Dec 14-20.
Should I message the seller or just be patient?

It’s possible they didn’t drop it off at the post office, but more likely the post office has received it and hasn’t scanned it. Sometimes things can sit for a long time before they start getting processed, especially at big busy post offices. Or on occasion things never get scanned/updated but are moving through the system as intended. Good luck! That can be very frustrating for the buyer (gah!! I feel your pain) and the seller (who can’t really do anything about it or prove that they dropped it off).

I just had this happened. One with usps and one with ups. I kept getting disconnected at the post office, but I got through to ups. They said they are so busy, that they are grabbing and going...not scanning each package.
The tracking stays in the "awaiting carrier pickup" status, the whole time because of the lack of scanning. The only tracking notice I got was the "package delivered" email, when the final scan happened. No tracking communication emails while it was enroute, again...because of the lack of the carrier picked it up scan. It's frustrating and annoying, not knowing what is going on. I like receiving the tracking emails >> "you're package arrived at *whatever* hub, your package departed *whichever* hub, you're package is on it's way to the next hub destination, etc....
My guess, is that the same thing is happening to your package.
