Carroll's attorney has 10 of her objections one right after another 'approved' Habba lost. Oh a rebuke from judge, 'Did you not hear me!' when Habba tried again..

Welcome to the 2:00am rant!! Bold mine!! "A PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES MUST HAVE FULL IMMUNITY, WITHOUT WHICH IT WOULD BE IMPOSSIBLE FOR HIM/HER TO PROPERLY FUNCTION," "ANY MISTAKE, EVEN IF WELL INTENDED, WOULD BE MET WITH ALMOST CERTAIN INDICTMENT BY THE OPPOSING PARTY AT TERM END. EVEN EVENTS THAT 'CROSS THE LINE' MUST FALL UNDER TOTAL IMMUNITY, OR IT WILL BE YEARS OF TRAUMA TRYING TO DETERMINE GOOD FROM BAD. THERE MUST BE CERTAINTY."And "EXAMPLE: YOU CAN’T STOP POLICE FROM DOING THE JOB OF STRONG & EFFECTIVE CRIME PREVENTION BECAUSE YOU WANT TO GUARD AGAINST THE OCCASIONAL 'ROGUE COP' OR 'BAD APPLE," wrote Trump. "SOMETIMES YOU JUST HAVE TO LIVE WITH 'GREAT BUT SLIGHTLY IMPERFECT.' ALL PRESIDENTS MUST HAVE COMPLETE & TOTAL PRESIDENTIAL IMMUNITY, OR THE AUTHORITY & DECISIVENESS OF A PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES WILL BE STRIPPED & GONE FOREVER. HOPEFULLY THIS WILL BE AN EASY DECISION. GOD BLESS THE SUPREME COURT!" Talk about a snowflake...

May be a delay in DC J6 trial.. Donald Trump’s March 4th court date in his election interference trial looks likely to be pushed back on the heels of a new order from the federal judge overseeing the case, legal experts said Thursday. Federal Judge Tanya Chutkan raised timeline questions in her order barring special counsel Jack Smith from filing motions until a decision is made on Trump’s presidential immunity challenge, court records show. Chutkan noted the seven months’ prep time she’d granted Trump’s team was effectively paused in December when they appealed her ruling that presidential immunity did not protect him. Attorney Andrew Weissmann said her ruling “signals that 3/4 trial date will need to be put off when case comes back to her.” www.rawstory.com/trump-trial-delay-2666999798/

Now we know from whence she came... This should be a time that Widener University Commonwealth Law School would want to trumpet one of its most notable alumni. Alina Habba, a 2010 graduate, has been representing Donald Trump — a former president of the United States who has a huge lead to become this year’s Republican presidential nominee. She’s on national television and all over social media. But Widener Commonwealth — a little-known private institution in Harrisburg, Pa., ranked in the bottom 20 percent of law schools by U.S. News & World Report — has been all but silent.Widener Commonwealth deans, professors and alumni contacted by Raw Story had effectively nothing to say about Habba. There’s also no mention of Habba on the “alumni spotlight” of Widener Commonwealth’s website, and she has not been the subject of any stories in the “alumni news” section. The only appearance of Habba at all comes on page 35 of Volume 17, Number 2 of the Widener University School of Law Magazine, published in 2010. www.rawstory.com/raw-investigates/alina-habba-law-school/

And his dreams..... Peace, patriotism, and law and order’: Trump tells Supreme Court he did the ‘opposite’ of an insurrection on Jan. 6, should remain on election ballotMARISA SARNOFFJan 19th, 2024, 9:24 am Former President Donald Trump has filed a brief with the Supreme Court saying that when it comes to Jan. 6, his role was one of peacemaker, not instigator. In his bid to stay on the 2024 presidential ballot in Colorado, Trump filed the brief in his appeal from the Centennial State’s highest court, which ruled that the ex-president is disqualified due to his role in the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol, when thousands of his supporters — urged by him to “fight like hell” to keep him in office despite losing the 2020 election — violently overwhelmed law enforcement and breached the building as Congress had begun to certify President Joe Biden’s win. As Law&Crime previously reported, the Colorado Supreme Court’s decision reversed a lower-court ruling that the former president could, indeed, remain an official contender for president despite having “engaged in insurrection.” The brief insists that he actually did the opposite. “President Trump did not ‘engage in insurrection,'” the brief says. “The Colorado Supreme Court tried to impute the conduct of others to President Trump. But the [plaintiffs] needed to show that President Trump’s own conduct qualified as ‘insurrection,’ and they cannot make that showing when President Trump never participated in or directed any of the illegal conduct that occurred at the Capitol on January 6, 2021. In fact, the opposite is true, as President Trump repeatedly called for peace, patriotism, and law and order.” lawandcrime.com/high-profile/peace-patriotism-and-law-and-order-trump-tells-supreme-court-he-did-the-opposite-of-an-insurrection-on-jan-6-should-remain-on-election-ballot/

Saturday. More rants about E Jean Carroll.... "Until the filing of this ridiculous lawsuit against me, I knew nothing about this woman, never heard of her, never touched her, had nothing to do with her," Trump wrote Saturday. "THIS IS A FALSE ACCUSATION FORCED INTO THE PUBLIC EYE BY DEMOCRAT OPERATIVES LIKE HER LAWYER, HER FUNDERS, AND OTHERS." Trump goes on to attempt to bring down Carroll's standing: "LOOK AT HER MANY CRAZY TWEETS, THEY SAY IT ALL — Another HOAX, just like Russia, Russia, Russia. These people are 'SICK.' Hopefully Judge Kaplan will see the light and do what is just and proper for America!" www.rawstory.com/trump-carroll-tweets/

DC Judge Chutkan gag order reinstated by Court of Appeals! A federal appeals court denied Donald Trump's request to overturn a limited gag order in his election subversion trial. On Tuesday, a panel of three judges on the D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals said that Trump's appeal of U.S. District Court Judge Tanya Chutkan's gag order would not be heard. *** Trump's "repeated appeals to broad First Amendment values therefore ignores that the court — pursuant to its obligation to protect the integrity of the proceedings — recognized those values, but in balancing them against the potential prejudice resulting from certain kinds of statements, found them outweighed," Chutkan said while reinstating the gag order previously. www.rawstory.com/donald-trump-gag-order-election/

The kinder gentler person, he claims he is!! During his 'victory' speech, TFG just handed the Carroll case more stuff!! "'I don’t get too angry; I get even.' — Donald Trump, tonight celebrating his victory in New Hampshire and giving E. Jean Carroll’s lawyers more ammunition for cross-examination should he testify in the ongoing trial," wrote Rubin. Carroll alleges Trump raped her in a New York department store in the late 1990s. Trump has denied these claims and said that Carroll is fabricating the story to advance her writing career, a claim that formed the basis of Carroll's defamation case. A jury has already found Trump liable for sexual abuse and defamation. The current trial is purely about assessing additional damages. www.rawstory.com/trump-ammo-new-hampshire-speech/

Wonder what Judge Kaplan might say? Rubin then added: "I am not insinuating Habba lied. At all. I take her at her word. She said she had been exposed and was feeling feverish over the weekend; she also represented on Monday that she tested negative that morning... What I am suggesting, however is that *someone else* who has been a regular courtroom presence has COVID, without which there would be little reason for a three-day delay." *** Trump’s attorney Alina Habba is at his campaign’s return party in New Hampshire," the NBC News report stated. "Habba, who is representing Trump in the New York civil defamation case brought by E. Jean Carroll, became the subject of discussion when she told the court yesterday that her family had Covid and she had been exposed. After a juror tested positive, the case was delayed, and it isn’t scheduled to resume until Thursday." www.rawstory.com/alina-habba-spotted-campaign-party/

Finally, maybe he will be held accountable for something www.nytimes.com/live/2024/01/26/nyregion/trump-carroll-defamation-trialA Manhattan jury on Friday ordered former President Donald J. Trump to pay $83.3 million to the writer E. Jean Carroll for defaming her in social media posts, news conferences and even on the campaign trail ever since she first accused him in 2019 of raping her in a department store dressing room decades earlier.
The award included $65 million in punitive damages, which the nine-member jury assessed after finding Mr. Trump, 77, had acted maliciously after Ms. Carroll’s lawyers pointed to Mr. Trump’s persisting in attacks on her, both from the White House and after leaving office.
On a single day recently, Mr. Trump made more than 40 derisive posts about her on his Truth Social website.

If she does collect, it will probably be years from now. Trump will fight it with everything he has. But maybe winning is a small victory and maybe he will stop insulting her publicly?

Regarding the $, per the NYT www.nytimes.com/2024/01/26/nyregion/trump-carroll-pay-83-million.htmlDonald J. Trump might one day have to pay E. Jean Carroll the $83.3 million she was awarded, but that day is not today.
Mr. Trump called the jury’s decision “Absolutely ridiculous!” and vowed to appeal the verdict, a process that could take months or more.
And while he is waiting for an appellate court to rule, Mr. Trump need not cut Ms. Carroll a check.
Yet the former president is still on the hook to pay something — possibly a sizable sum — while he waits.
Mr. Trump can pay the $83.3 million to the court, which will hold the money while the appeal is pending. This is what he did last year when a jury ordered him to pay Ms. Carroll $5.5 million in a related case.
Or, Mr. Trump can try to secure a bond, which will save him from having to pay the full amount up front.
A bond might require him to pay a deposit and offer collateral, and would come with interest and fees. It would also require Mr. Trump to find a financial institution willing to lend him a large sum of money at a time when he is in significant legal jeopardy.
Although Mr. Trump likes to boast of his billions, much of his wealth is linked to the value of his properties, and he is loath to part with vast sums of cash at once.
And when it comes to his varied legal expenses — of which there are many — he tries to avoid spending his own money at all. Mr. Trump has tapped his political action committee’s coffers to pay for his own legal fees and other expenses stemming from his criminal indictments and civil trials.
Yet $83.3 million eclipses the amount in his political accounts. The verdict on Friday will require Mr. Trump to reach into his own pocket.

joycevance.substack.com/p/day-twoImagine if, seven years ago, anyone in the Republican Party had possessed the courage and integrity of E. Jean Carroll. Imagine if they’d been as brave as she is as disclosures about his character were made when he was running in 2016, when he began separating babies from their mothers at the border during his first year in office, or when we learned he’d withheld security aid from Ukraine to try to get a fake story to use against his political opponent, Joe Biden. If E. Jean Carroll had been a Republican Senator on January 6, she would have rallied her colleagues to call an insurrection an insurrection, expel the man who fomented it, and ensure he could never hold government office again.
But they did not have her courage, and here we are, watching a smart, brave, beautiful woman speak truth to power at a great personal cost.
E. Jean Carroll has continued to speak truth to power throughout. She’s done that despite the consequences, the fear of reprisal from Trump’s followers, in a way that should make every Republican official who has bent the knee ashamed of themselves.

heathercoxrichardson.substack.com/p/january-26-2024Trump immediately called the jury verdict “Absolutely ridiculous!” and said he would appeal. “THIS IS NOT AMERICA!” he posted on social media. Conservative lawyer George Conway responded. “Not so. The United States of America is about the rule of law, something you couldn’t care less about. Today nine ordinary citizens upheld the rules of law. You have no right to maliciously defame anyone, let alone a woman you raped. In America, we call this justice.”

Even his former lawyers can NOT state the truth!! E Jean Carroll is not just his accuser, she is his victim, no she is a survivor! A JURY found him liable for sexual assault!! Trump might as well have been defending himself. That was the sentiment offered by his former attorney Timothy Parlatore during an interview with Kaitlan Collins on CNN's "The Source" after a jury in New York federal court took three hours to award an $83.3 million sum in favor of the former president's sexual assault accuser E. Jean Carroll.www.rawstory.com/trump-regret-parlatore-alina-habba/
