If you do DD and go on vacation during DD how do you handle the pics? All in DD? S separate album with minimal in DD? We were gone for Christmas and now I’m not sure how I want to handle it. It was 9 days, so significant enough, but it also included a lot of Christmas traditions (gingerbread houses, cookies, Christmas morning, etc). I have no room in my 2023 album and usually December is all separate in my DD album.

Hmm. Since it's 9 days, I would include the Christmas-y highlights in DD and if there is enough to do a smaller vacation album, do that. For shorter weekend-type trips, I just put it all in DD.

I would personally add the Christmas aspects to the DD and do a separate vacation album for the vacation aspects with possible overlap where a Christmas-y event gets Christmas billing in DD and the same event shows up in the vacation album but with a focus on the new fun place we did this
But I don't think there's a wrong way to handle this

I would do some pages focusing on the travel and other activities for my regular album, and put the holiday related photos into the DD. If your 2023 album is full, then I would do what mom and Linda suggested: create a vacation album to focus on the trip and keep the holiday elements in the DD.

We were away for Dec 19-31 so my DD is going to be a combined Xmas album and vacation album. Not everything we did while we were away was Christmasy but it was a trip specifically for the Xmas season and if we stayed home my DD album would've included a few non-holiday things anyway so I am happy to combine it. (I wouldn't normally make a trip album though, and my yearly album is a photobook so I can easily include as much as I want to - some photos from the trip will also be in there.)
