Ok, my goals are to: Start Project life (I did this!) Keep up with weekly documenting (weeks 1 and 2 are done!) Go through October/Fall alphas and pull out any that could work for Project Life done. Photograph and post the Disney album from where I left off Figure out where I left off posting the Disney album (ha) Get rid of enough 3X4 cards so that they all fit in the same box. Why is that so hard? done, sorta. I took out all the ones that have rounded edges and are so travel related that I would only use them for a far away trip, like not a road trip.
Added: go through my stash and create kits of embellishments that go with journaling cards/papers/stickers UPDATE - I don't want to do this anymore. Adding a goal: go through Disney stash to see if some stuff can be used for Project Life. I want to keep only Disney themed stuff in the bin. I have one 12x12 Michaels brand Iris box somewhat full.
OK, I did that. There was pretty much nothing that wasn't Disney in it.
New goal: pull out all the stuff from the Wander kit that got dispersed in my stash so I can use it together. It matches.

Felt pretty good.
I just received the order yesterday (1/26), and sorted it by month this morning (1/27).
I did myself a huge favor this order around, and as I was choosing photos to order, I wrote a list by month of the photo's content (person, place, etc).
Made it so much easier to know what month a random kid pic was taken in. Birthdays and trips to special places are easy. But kid holding Lego creation #1000? Yeah, I can barely narrow down by year.

awesome! Yeah I've learnt the hard way that it's better to make multiple orders by month than one huge order because that sorting project gets overwhelming. I think I need to take time before the end of the month and order at least some of the remaining 2023 photos.

I used to order the most recent past month (so order January on Feb 1st), but since I haven't scrapbooked in awhile, and then life happened, I hadn't barely even been taking photos, let alone ordering them.
I didn't want to make several orders because then shipping cost would've been too much.

If I need them today? I order one or two at CVS and pick them up but I prefer matte so Amazon is better for me

My update:
1. Remove the mountain of junk in my craft room so I can actually scrap if wanted. I was able to remove the pile of Christmas junk from my scrappy space pretty early on in January. However, I made a new pile of Lego bricks that I am now sorting through. So I guess I *technically* finished this goal because all of the holiday stuff is packed away.
2. Organize and back up photos from 2023. Nope!

January is nearly over (or is over depending on where you live) - how did we do? I've seen loads of progress being made as I look through the thread. Well done everyone!

DW will be away some of January so I will have lots of alone time for crafting. My goals are: print 2023 photos done!make 5 January birthday cards (5/5) done!put away stack of finished layouts into albums done!set-up 2024 album done!- start making notes/taking photos for January's month-in-review layout
- make 12 scrapbook layouts (1/12)
make 35 valentine cards (37/35) done!- continue Oct 2022 trip mini album
FaceTime/Zoom craft with friend(s)! done!
I was able to get some good stuff done this month. I struggled with the January month-in-review. I haven't started putting the pieces together so I'm not sure if I captured enough during the month. I changed my mind about the Oct 2022 trip mini album. I took everything out of the album and condensed into two 12x12 pocket pages. I like it much better. I need to print out the journaling and finish up with embellishments. I fumbled a bit with my motivation during the first half of the month, so didn't get as much scrapbooking done as I'd like. It happens. I'm ready to move on to February!

Monthly - Aug '23 - Sep '23
- Dec '23 - Oct '23Other - Birthday Album for ages 5, 6 and 7 (after her party). I said this last year too. I need to actually do it. I finished birthday 5 and 6- Setup folders for photo library- Setup folders for yearbook '24- Try to scrapbook a bit each day - 17 of 31 daysI did the easy folder set up and put in some actual work on my album. I finished 16 pages to cover Aug, Sep and a short trip. I'm not sure what I will work on next. October is the next chronologically but December is most recent. Both months have a lot of pictures. So far I have scrapbooked 11 of 18 days. I finished 3 months of my yearbook and 2 birthdays. The printer is giving me streaks so I have to try again printing the birthday pages. I wish I had scrapbooked more days than 17 days but at least I got 25 pages done.

January plans include: finishing my year end blurb book now that we're back from our holidays and doing a trade book for Journal Your Christmas. Cardmaking - start some birthday and encouragement cards for Cards for Cubs. I was curious to see if I managed anything I said I wanted to do… and I did! -finished the year book and it should be here any day -almost done with JYC -started on Cards for Cubs, yes That’s pretty good for gloomy old January.

Did I ever post a January goal here? Setting goals often frustrates me, because my time is not always my own and I hate feeling like a failure when I fail to meet them.
I know I promised myself and several other people that I would have Christmas scrapped and the holiday crafty supplies stowed away by the end of the month and I did manage to do that. Haven't posted all my Christmas LO's yet cuz a couple are for 28-4-28 samples, but they are DONE.

Setting goals often frustrates me, because my time is not always my own and I hate feeling like a failure when I fail to meet them. there's no requirement to set (or post) a goal and if it isn't helpful to you, then don't. I find it's helpful to me to think about what I want to accomplish and see what I managed to but I'm okay with saying...oh well, life got in the way or my scrapping went a different direction month so I don't beat myself up over unmet goals. But it's more than okay to just share what you have done even if you choose not to post a to-do list. And congratulations on finishing up Christmas!
