It would have been very interesting with the wind we had last night.

The wind is terrible where I’m at right now!

My city (Amarillo) had 70 mph wind and snow yesterday. It was horrible -- a local restaurant had its roof blown off.

Right? That was pretty intense, reminded me of living in Lubbock! I could hear it through my thunderstorm sounds playing on my nightstand, a large air filter 5 ft from my head, and my ceiling fan. Will have to check it out next time, thanks!

That is a very cool map. I wish I could have seen it a couple of days ago. I am in So Cal and I seriously thought our roof was going to blow off. It blew my patio umbrella across the yard and it was not even open/up. It was lying down.

We just finished 24 hours of insane winds. From the windows of the living room & kitchen I can count 3 trees that are down in the wooded lots next to our house. I saw one of them fall. Big boom! These are big trees, like 2-3 stories tall. Im so glad to be done with the worst of it. It was scary!

Yeah -- thankfully everyone knew the wind was coming and many places closed down early. The particular place that lost its roof is only open on the weekends so no one was there. But it was a great local place that had amazing burgers + live music, so I am hoping they can get it fixed soon.

Well the wicked crazy winds have diminished here, now just waiting for power. Hope everyone made it through the storms and are okay.

Sailor had watch on ship in the North Sea. Terrible night of cold with cold wind howling. Sailor had to hold the rail to keep from being washed overboard. Sailor on opposite side yelled at him. 1st could not hear because the wind was so bad. 2nd Sailor held rail and worked his way over to 1st Sailor. When close enough he repeated, "I said I sure am glad we are not in Amarillo on a night like this."
Anyone who has lived in the panhandle will appreciate the joke.
