Although I've been into scrapbooking since the late 1990s, I have never even tried the digital and never thought I would. But several days ago, when I went to pull out some really old, pre-modern scrapbooks (from the 1980s), I was surprised to find them falling apart. I shouldn't have been surprised because of their age, but the albums I had them in were good albums so I didn't expect it.
I'd love to redo them but it would be daunting to do physical LOs. I'd appreciate some ideas about redoing them digitally and would appreciate suggestions for scrapbook/graphic programs and/or any ideas to get me started. Thanks, Peas!

If you are interested in simple and don't mind working on your phone or an iPad I like the Project Life App. It has its limitations but for me that means less decision making. There is a FB group that has people who can do amazing things in the app. There is also a spin off group that goes beyond the PL app.

Photoshop Elements is probably the most common software used by digi scrappers, and you can still get it as a single purchase without having to sign up for a monthly subscription (like you do with full Photoshop). Bonus is you can use it for editing your photos too. You can download a free trial to see if you like it.

I use Photoshop Elements. I took the whole series of classes from Jessica Sprague starting back in 2009 until 2013(?) on how to use the program and create. I loved her style of teaching. I think you can still take the pre-recorded classes (not sure if she's still actively teaching).

As the relatively new owner of not one, but two large Rubbermaid totes full of my dad's photos (many of them vintage), I was recently looking into digital scrapbooking since I am going to have to scan all those photos anyway (daunting!!). In my research I came across this article: Best Digital Scrapbooking Software and thought it provided a good overview. That said, I will probably use PSE like many other people (including many peas). While I greatly enjoy and prefer paper scrapbooking because I enjoy the process, I think I will need to add in some digi scrapping when I delve into that project. It will be a while before I have the time to fully devote to it, and I work at a computer all day in my "day job" LOL so I've never been excited about digital scrapping - plus I really detest the photo editing process. But at some point in the next few years I will retire (!!!) and have the time and the desire to get into it.
