I want to preorder that Winnie the Pooh line from Echo Park.
My DD was in love with Pooh Bear when she was little. She still has her lovie. She has straightened her life out and is getting married this year. She does plan to have kids.
I feel like I need this for when she has a baby. Which could be years in the future really but I have some intense FOMO.
I told Jeremy I wouldn't order anything right now. We agreed to cut our spending. But I want this so bad...
I just feel like a crazy lady for ordering something for a non existent baby. Haha....

I won't be any help-I've been thinking the same thing! DH and I had the classic Pooh nursery things for our kids and one of our DDs is getting married this year, too. They are hoping to have kids and when I saw this line, I made a note to get it so I can use it for a future scrapbook. Was so glad to see your post because I was starting to think I was crazy!😂

I know several quilters and crocheters who have made blankets for future babies, so it's not a crazy question.
I'm very sentimental about those kinds of things, so I'd probably add it to my stash.

I say order it. If it means something to you, then it's worth it to have IMO. It's not like you're spending your money willy nilly on stuff that has no meaning!

jeremysgirl and frenchie use go for if you love it. Then when that grandchild does come and you’re shopping for all those cute baby clothes you’ll know what colors to look for for that awesome scrapbook you’ll make with that collection.

I can't help you with your dilemma - because I'm frozen, too, but I really want this! My son loved Winnie the Pooh, and I even sewed Tigger curtains for his bedroom when he was a toddler. I still have photos to scrapbook from back then, so I could actually use this now - but also save it for when he has kids.
Can you maybe just shuffle your budget? Like forgo some other treat and use the money for this instead? I do have a gift certificate to a LSS I can use, hmmm....

Can you maybe just shuffle your budget? It's not like I can't afford it. We have just been saving for something in particular for our house. And well, you know how Christmas goes...

I preordered it... My mom used to read me Winnie the Pooh and I am going to make her a card with Pooh hanging from the balloon cut apart. It was $20 for the collection kit and the washi tape... not that much in the scheme of things.
Buy it!

I’m glad I don’t have a reason to buy it, except maybe the pictures of my dd and dgd with Tigger at Disney…not enough reason for me! I say that if it will make you happy to have it then you should buy it but also, Echo Park paper lines seem to still be available for ages after they’re released.

Welp, I had no idea this collection was out there until now and how could you not want it if you love Pooh! The colors are gorgeous AND all of the quote cards are just priceless. I can see using those on cards and on scrapbook pages and even on a tag. The B sides are really nice - I mean you could just use those generically. This is one of those collections that manages to be versatile beyond the pooh theme. (Adding to my wish list)

I would just make sure that you will definitely be able to find it in your stash if and when you want to use it for a future project. And I personally would also try to use a bit of it now, maybe scrapping some old photos of your DD, so if something happens that prevents you from using it for future baby you will have still gotten some immediate enjoyment out of it. I’m wary of buying things too far in advance, but if you love it and you can afford it, knowing that products don’t stick around, go for it.
ETA: you’ll probably be happier being chilly and managing a small budget than trying to freeze completely… since this is more about choosing where to spend your money rather than needing to stop spending.

I don't think the phrases/embellishments in this collection are really age specific. The characters are a little but the art in this collection isn't cartoony so I can easily see it working with pics with all different types of pictures. It seems like this collection means a lot to you so I would go for it.

I say order it. Some of these specialty items that have special meaning are ok to spend a little bit on! Its not like something we see over and over again. Pooh is classic!

I wasn't familiar with it until you posted and it is adorable. I am frozen too! I don't have a use/need for it at all except that I watched pooh and the honey tree a thousand times growing up.
If you really want it, get it! Bcz even if you don't use it for it's intended purposes, it is a timeless classic and you could def repurpose into cards for baby, child, even just friend/thinking of you type things. I went back to look at the B sides and def versatile and a basic color scheme.
If you really do not want to ... there are always disney products on the market and you could buy a pooh golden book and cut out the characters for pages. Or even print & cut images. I am recalling pooh baby type stickers I have in my stash right now that have probably been there for 10+ years.
Sometimes it's ok to collect things too! I keep that pile small, but there are things that I know I'll never see/come across again and have to collect. Sometimes they end up in art journaling type pages just so I can use/admire them.

I think I'm the odd man out, but I would say skip it...
I really hope that everything goes according to plan and you get beautiful grandbabies in a few years. Then there will always be something Winnie the Pooh related to purchase, it's such a popular character!
That said, years ago I purchased some baby & pregnancy products that I was in love with for a future baby. Then I struggled with infertility for years and ultimately ended up not being able to have another baby (I had one daughter when I was very young). Getting rid of those products was just another painful experience, and one that wasn't needed. This is just my take from personal experience, def don't mean to be a downer...
That said, if you would be happy to use the collection for other pictures, such as old photos of your daughter when she was little, and you can get some use out of it now and regardless of if/when future babies happen, that might be a reason to get it anyways.

If you really want it, order it. Especially because scrapbook product releases are usually one or two times....then it gone. It's >> buy it when it's available or you might miss out on it....unless you get lucky and find it later on a re-sale website. Valentines day is coming soon....it can be your Valentines gift to yourself.

I would say definitely order it...if you are really trying to save money and have a zero balance spending then sell some other scrapbook stuff you don't use that equal the same amount you spent.
