Got the link this morning SBCfest 03-24 Not as many names I recognise in the instructor list. Looks like available "class essential bundles" are all SB dot com branded products.
What do you think? Any of those instructors I should make sure I catch? I know it is free, but not sure if I am ready for an infomercial of that length...

The only person I know is Obed Marshall. Too bad he can't sell his products. No clue who the others are. Though I really don't follow scrapbooking like I used to.
I will say that is a whole lot of supplies for some of those classes. My goodness.

Jana Eubank usually has interesting projects. Sometimes the ones we don't recognize have really good classes. But it is quite a commitment to watch those looonnng videos. Thanks for the link grammadee.

Meghan Andrew does stuff with SCT and I think was on some design teams (at least in the past). I’ve liked her things and will probably catch hers.

Thanks for posting bcz I am unsubscribed right now. But yea, I barely recognize anyone.
I like Obed, Meghan and Laura (the sb.com person) - I always like her projects.
If I catch it I will, but not super invested.

I am looking forward to taking Laura's class. The kit supplies are really cute!

I have seen Ralph Tydall make a bunch of cards of Reels (on FB). He makes great cards if you are into that. I generally don't make cards, but his are fun to watch. You know, if it can be made in 2 minutes, I'm in.
I recognized the other people just from YouTube.

I know most of the first people, not the ones at the end. Carissa is usually very good, otherwise no one I would call a must-see.
Scrapbook dot com are pushing their own brands very hard lately so it doesn’t surprise me that they’re all using exclusive products. Very long infomercial is the right way to describe it. Personally I just watch the replay and fast forward to see what each person is doing.
If you really like all the products they are discounted heavily, but I usually don’t want it all. And that also tells me that their regular retail price is a scam and I will never buy their stuff full price. I got tempted by Kristie Marcotte’s fall fox card project last year but in the end I didn’t get it and life has gone on… and it’s only when I mention it that I think, oh yeah, I love foxes and funky 70s bedsheet prints… So maybe I’ll get it someday.

I like this format as a contrast to an event where you buy a bunch of supplies unseen and then hope you like them and the projects - although I love those, too, and do a few each year (PinkFresh and Crop and Create). I don't see it as a long informercial, I see it more as an event like Hero Arts' Stamp-along - you can join, in this case for free, and use your own supplies to make the projects, or you can buy what they use and make the projects exactly the same. It's a win win - I get to watch free classes and they get to sell products if people think they offer quality classes and supplies.
Re: the instructors - I really like Carissa Wiley, Angelica Conrad (card maker - she does a lot for The Greetery, just gorgeous), Laura Graff, Meghann Andrew, Tonya Brooks (I like her Tim Holtz stuff), and Jana Eubank (great scrapbooker). I don't know the others. I'll sign up and watch the classes that catch my eye. Sometimes I fast forward to the end of the class first to see if I like the project, and then go back and watch.

I like that they're including more scrapbooking by the looks of the supply lists. I may be wrong in my remembering, but I feel like they've been heavier on cardmaking in the past?

Interesting that they’ve moved to this being all their product, pretty much. Not sure I like that change.
I do know who all the teachers are except one. It’s great lineup but I just wish there was more product diversity.
I’ll watch on the replay so I can fast forward. 😂

I’ve watched the last 2 years. I wait until they’re posted on YouTube so I can fast forward if I want. I’m just watching for techniques. Besides there’s no way I’d use all that stuff you’d need for a class.

Not knowing any of the instructors might be good if they provide fresh ideas. I’ll probably watch but last year seemed like it was really geared toward selling products. Which I understand because they’re in busy but I felt like some instructors went overboard.

I'll be excited to watch the classes by Obed Marshall and Carissa Wiley and probably the others, too, if time permits. The last SBCFest I was too busy working to see most of the classes. The first one, I watched the entire thing.
