We have a thread for people to post their shows on Netflix and Prime. I started it during the shutdown and it is still being used by people. Someone uses the OLD THREAD label every time I take it down. I have edited the OP to ask people to please not do this. Someone has way too much time on their hands to knowingly annoy other people. admin, is there any recourse?

I think was discussed before, and there were several varying opinions on what "old thread" means. The admin never clarified the purpose of the label, which leaves it to ones own reasoning and perception.
I thought the "old thread" label was to let members know that an older thread (more than a year old by date) has been brought back to page 1? I have posted on a resurfaced older thread, not realizing that the thread was old and that I had already answered-posted on it.
Perhaps there needs to be an "old thread" label and a "recurring thread" label....or no labels at all (if one doesn't like the thread topic....then scroll on by)
Too much time on ones hands and doing it to be annoying may not be the reason for the labeling. If I label something "old thread", it would be based on the original date that the thread was started....to let other members know that it an older thread that has been brought back to page 1.
I started a thread (the Mary Lou Retton thread). I have not labeled or un-labeled it. It has been labeled and un-labeled several times, with both "old thread" and "politics". No big deal to me. Just my personal opinion.....life is too short to worry about or get upset about labeling or un-labeling of a thread on a message board.

In terms of the purpose, the pinned post in NSBR states it perfectly:
"The old label is there to warn us that someone has resurrected an old thread not to say an active thread is old."
As with other labels however, there is no way to see who has added or removed them, so other than getting rid of the label completely there is nothing I can do.
