Artbabe mentioned missing TM and that her TM stash is running low. It's got me wondering where discounted scrapbook and craft supplies are going now. I never see anything scrapbook related at Ross, Burlington, or Marshall's. I don't get to a TJMaxx very often. I remember some mention of seeing some things at Popshelf but there isn't one near me. Is anyone seeing any discounted scrapbook supplies anywhere?

I don't know but I haven't seen any at our TJMaxx.
Maybe places like Big Lots or Ollies or Ocean State Job Lot and the like? I haven't seen any at BL or O's but I rarely make it in there

I think they may be going to places like Temu and Amazon. I bought a set of green papers from Temu (I know, I know, bad on me) and later saw the same set on Amazon for significantly more $

I wish I knew... with the demise of TM and my favorite store to stock up online having a "moving sale" and then disappearing from the internet in the last year, I need a deal place! Both places were where I got my cardstock. I HATE having to buy cardstock by the sheet now.

I keep waiting for the peas to find and post where it’s going 😭 I know a lot of places do warehouse boxes and sales too, so maybe that’s how a lot of it is being sold. Echo Park, Simple Stories, etc. do warehouse boxes and sales and they used to be found at TM often. I think they may be going to places like Temu and Amazon. I bought a set of green papers from Temu (I know, I know, bad on me) and later saw the same set on Amazon for significantly more $ Temu has their own stuff. They’re basically a cheap importer. If you saw the same set on Amazon, it was probably purchased on Temu in bulk by a reseller and that’s why it was marked up to make a profit on Amazon.

now that you mention it, where do all the overstock go now? the TJMaxx type stores used to have them but no more. big lots had them years ago but did away with it too. i think TM was the last of the discount stores to carry past season or overstock items.

Maybe on the manufacturer' websites? Echo Park frequently has warehouse sales and Simple Stories carries some older lines in their store, too

The warehouse boxes makes sense. I recently bought some stuff during an EP sale and the prices were very good. I need a Simple Stories warehouse sale. I don’t want a mystery box, though. I want to choose my supplies.

The big box online stores usually have things on clearance .
None of the B&M discount stores near me don’t and never did carry crafting items other than generic junk and kids’ stuff.

I have no idea. I have checked Big Lots, Ocean State, Tj Maxx, Marshalls, Home Goods... no scrapbook items like TM had!

Does peachy cheap and similar still exist?
Both SS and EP/CB do regular sales on their websites. AC brands does it less often but started during the pandemic times.

I’ve sometimes seen older supplies at a booth or two at scrapbook conventions. I haven’t seen them in local stores.

I saw a ton of American crafts paper pads, stickers at my local Ollie’s discount store. This was about a week ago. I think 12x12 pads were 4.99

Does peachy cheap and similar still exist? Yes! Peachy cheap has an instagram account for each of their offerings (regular and planner deals). So that's how I see what's up every day.

Scrapbooking for Less is an online store that has closeouts. They get a ton of Echo Park and Carte Bella, but they do have other manufacturers too.

I have seen items at Dollar General in their craft section. I bought some paper pads by America Craft.

I only found a Heidi Swapp 12x12 Honey and Spice paper pad during my Ollie’s trip. But also found paint brushes and wide white duct tape for mixed media and junk journal projects, so some good finds.

TM still offers crafty stuff in the online store, if you are wiling to pay shipping. Around Christmas they had a ton, right now, not so much. But it varies day to day.

I looked last week and they really only had ink pads.

Officesupply.com has free shipping if your order is over $45, and they do sell scrapbook supplies for reasonable prices. Not TM prices, but cheaper than Amazon...
I've had good luck finding 49 and Market stuff on there.

Both places were where I got my cardstock. I HATE having to buy cardstock by the sheet now. Officesupply.com has cardstock packs that are priced more affordably than buying by single sheets. It's basically Office Depot, but on that site, they offer some name brand scrapbooking supplies, too. If you buy office supplies at the same time you buy your cardstock, it's pretty easy to get to their free shipping threshold. Also, if you order from them, check their coupons page too, because sometimes you can score a discount or a free pack of highlighters or pens or other random office items with your order.
