DD will graduate HS this May. I'm making a scrapbook on SF for her party. Each 2 page layout is 1 year (so starts 2006 when she was born) and includes various photos from that year.
I did the same thing for DS when he graduated 6 years ago. At the end, after his last year I included all his senior pics, photos from graduation and then the lyrics to My Wish by Rascal Flats. I put the book out at his party and guests signed it with their own messages and wishes for him.
I can't for the life of me find anything that really speaks to me to use for the back of DD's book. I thought of something a few months ago and it was perfect, and, thinking, there's no way I'll forget that, didn't write it down. Now, after months of thinking, I still can't remember. So, I'm coming here hoping for help from the peas to find the perfect quote or lyrics. Something along the lines of My Wish by Rascal Flats, like I used for DS, but don't want to use the same for DD. Also, nothing that would be more related to something that would be used as a dad/daughter song for a wedding because this is from both of us.
Thanks!!!

No help but wanted to say that I love that idea and am so impressed you got them both finished in time! They would have been “good intention” projects for me.

Have it All by Jason Mraz? I had never heard this song before so checked it out on YouTube and think it’s perfect, just what you’re looking for.

The chorus of "All Your Favorite Bands" by Dawes might fit the bill. genius.com/Dawes-all-your-favorite-bands-lyricsETA: especially the last bit I hope the world sees the same person That you’ve always been to me And may all your favorite bands stay together

DS's book was done a month before graduation. All I had to do was add his grad photos and order it in time for his party. DD's is a bit behind. I'm only to 2013 and have to get to 2024... so need to get busy!

Is she a Swiftie? Something by her may resonate with you. Never Grow Up?
Some songs I used for DD or DS: I Hope You Dance—LeeAnn Womack. It’s old and cliche, but fits. Unwritten—Natasha Beddingfield Walking On Sunshine Seasons of Love—from Rent 100 Years—Five For Fighting Good Riddance (Time of Your Life)—Green Day
You could also use a poem if that fits better for you.

This isn't very long, but I put this as the first page of a friend's daughter's graduation book. It is from the song Wonder by 10.000 Maniacs. I stacked them like this:
With love, with patience, and with faith, she'll make her way.
I liked how it looked and what it said.

Bob Dylan's "Forever Young" would be a good one. I think most people would know the Rod Stewart version.

When I did my daughters graduation video I used - Keep in Mind by LOCASH
Keep in mind as you head out in that cold
Don't forget to take your coat, TV's sayin' snow
Keep in mind that old car of yours ain't no good on slippery roads
And I won't sleep a wink with you out there all alone
I know those dreams you're trying to chase
You want 'em now but they won't wait
Last thing you're thinking about is slowing it down
And the ones you left behind
But I'm always thinking of you
'Cause when somebody loves you
That's what they do
All of the time
So keep in mind
I'll be waitin' on your call
In this little house you grew up in
When your world was safe and small
Ease my mind
With the sound of your voice
Let me know no matter where you are
However far, your home is still your home
I know those dreams you're trying to chase
You want 'em now but they won't wait
Last thing you're thinking about is slowing it down
And the ones you left behind
But I'm always thinking of you
'Cause when somebody loves you
That's what they do
All of the time
So keep in mind
The family and the friends you break
Who cried and watched you drive away
Asking God to please keep you in mind
I know those dreams you're trying to chase
You want 'em now but they won't wait
Last thing you're thinking about is slowing it down
And the ones you left behind
But I'm always thinking of you
'Cause when somebody loves you
That's what they do
All of the time
So keep in mind, there's angels all around you
Keep in mind, we're always thinking about you
Keep in mind, we know you're going to make it
But before you leave and spread your wings
I hope you take these things to keep in mind
Keep in mind

My youngest daughter's (she is 35 now!) I used the same idea and 'This is where the sidewalk ends' on the first page, and the second side said 'and your new Adventure begins.

No help with words but I AM TOTALLY going to steal this idea! It was so much fun to make! But, start early! I started over the summer. I've been copying 1 year at a time from my external hard drive back to my computer and then going through that 1 year. I delete anything I don't want and am then left with a choice of ones to use. I go a step further, which is probably overboard, but I like to make sure I have a good mix. So, after I get rid of the ones I don't want, I sort the rest into pics of grad alone, with her brother, with her dad, with me (or with both of us), with grandparent(s), with friends so I can make sure I have a good variety. Then at the end, I did several pages of senior pictures so that we could have them all in 1 place. After that, I put graduation day photos and finally the quote. With DD, I'm also going to include at the end a photo of her on her 1st day of school from pre-k to senior year because I always took them in the same spot and I thought it would be neat to see the progression.

Thanks for typing this all out! I have a freshman and Sophomore so this is great timing. I have all their photos in Google photos which makes it really easy to search various group combos and locations an everything is chronological already. I'll make a Google photos album, make pages on the PL app and print a book via Shutterfly. Thanks for the idea!

I do a birthday to birthday book each year for my kids so all my pictures are in Shutterfly already. I really should start their “senior” books now- one in 8th and one in 2 and it will be mostly done by the time they’re seniors.
