donna was a long time Pea who was taken from us long before her time. Her last scrapbooking effort had been to complete her kids' albums before time ran out. Many Peas, coordinated by jenjie and myboysnme , helped with that project. A Pea we have not heard from in a long while, kiwigirl , set up this challenge to keep DONNA's memory alive. So now we honour Donna's memory by getting our own photos into scrapbooks while WE have time to do that. Each month we set a challenge to get those photos glued onto pages. And we also have a theme Theme for this February DONNA challenge:FUN and GAMES! Whether you are playing a game yourself or enjoying watching someone else playing, this is the time to scrap that experience. It could be a formal competition or a family game night or an impromptu race to the car. Let's see your game--or cheering--moves! This challenge is open to anyone, but if you are a member of a challenge team looking for points: ONE point for EACH photo you scrap in February, 2024, no matter the theme. TEN points for meeting the February Donna theme on your project
Here is my LO for this theme, a family shuffleboard tournament in our basement: Have fun with this, and please share your take on this challenge in this thread.

*crying* Rest in peace, Donna. If there is an afterlife, I hope you are enjoying it.
Grammadee, what a lovely idea for a challenge. Glad you are keeping it going, even though I'm not sure I have time to do this justice right now. I love having this reminder to get photos glued onto pages, though. Right now my top scrappy priority is editing pics and getting them printed. I have 15+ years' worth that need attention. Then if I can get that far, maybe I'll be back to do this challenge, which looks like a fun one.

Posting this here instead of on the Jan thread for visibility... Here is a quick flip-through of the book I made in January, more than 150 photos to share with family and friends. It's not fancy but it's done, which is what really counts (I should've muted the audio but if you hear weird sounds in the background it's someone using a squeegee on the shower! Small house problems.) Jan share by jo.blackford, on Flickr

What a cool project capturing your year in photos, joblackford! So many different photos, all representative of your year. Loved following it through quickly during the flip through. I will bet that family and friends will spend lots of enjoyable time looking through this!

joblackford - I love it! you've taken some really beautiful photos and I really like the simplicity - just enough journalling and embellishing to give it interest without overwhelming the photos!

joblackford - I love it! you've taken some really beautiful photos and I really like the simplicity - just enough journalling and embellishing to give it interest without overwhelming the photos! Thank you! Some years it's even simpler, some years I do a little more embellishing with digital stamps. Ideally I like the photos to speak for themselves but I love to add a few bits and bobs (usually In a Creative Bubble elements) if I have the energy. I figured out how to use them in the blurb software, skipping Photoshop, so that has been helpful!

Thank you The folks who get the printed copies have it out on the table during the year to show visitors, which is really validating! I usually just send a pdf version to a few friends too.

I've been planning this layout all month -I've had the title made and sitting on my desk but it took me a bit to actually find photos and pull it together

I love this LO, Linda! Perfect take on this challenge! That title is amazing. Perfect use of those papers. Don’t be surprised if you see a lift of this some time in the near future.

I got another photo book done and uploaded! This one is for my nephew and his parents. They share the photos they’ve taken during the year and I add any I have of him and I make a 7x7” book for them and his grandparents/other aunties/etc. This is year 14 of this project and these days a lot of the photos are of teenage boys in speedos 🙈 (swim team and water polo) so I don’t think I’ll be sharing a flip-through. But it was 106 pages, about 200 photos

Squeezed this one in on the last day of the month: Pool Time by BreetheFlea, on Flickr Pretty simple, but it's going in the album.

Thanks for playing, breetheflea. You page is perfect for this challenge, and love how you laid it out. That ball pp is perfect and the pops of yellow really highlight the action and the fun.
