I have double my salary through my employer, but I'd like to increase it for the kids. We used to have about $400,000 through xh's work, but that is obviously done.
Thanks or any help

I have a couple of small policies. One was bought by my parents when I was born and the other is a benefit from my employer upon retiring. But, if I were to buy additional life insurance, I have a friend that sells life insurance, so I would contact him. I could pass his info onto you. I know you could talk over the phone, but you would have to meet in person to sing the papers. He once told me that was law or something like that. I don't think he would have an issue driving to you. He is here in Colorado Springs.

I'd also have no problem meeting in Denver or something

We only have life insurance through our employer. I only have the basic, I think like $10K. I used to carry a lot more when the kids were young and we still had a big mortgage. Now, I just don’t see the need to carry a lot. SO still carries about 2X his salary.

I have a free policy through work that’s $400k, i think, but I don’t really think of life insurance through work as “real.” Things can change suddenly with a job and if something terrible happened and I passed away while unemployed, there’s no insurance.
We have our main policies through USAA. Term life only, whole life is a racket.

We each only have 10 or 15k employer sponsored (my last few jobs, it has been 50k). We each have a $200k policy through AAA that will will let lapse when our house is paid off in 3-1/2 years

I just have twice my annual salary through my employer. My kids are adults and I’m not worried about leaving them anything.

We each have a policy through our employer... and then we had a guy come from American Income life.... he came to a union meeting and set up some appointments... our work union covers a part of it but we pay for extra...

We had term life insurance through Northwestern Mutual. It’s very highly rated; my husband did the research to decide which company to go with.
I collected when my husband died and then I cancelled mine as there was no more need for it. Our plan had always been to have enough to pay off the house if something happened to either of us. We were close to having it paid off when he died so I did it with my salary and didn’t need to use the life insurance for it. Since we didn’t have kids, I didn’t need the life insurance anymore.

I'd like to be able to pay off the house for the kids and then let them do what they want with it. As adults 19 and 22 they both live here and I don't want that to be their worry should I die.
