My printer has trouble printing on cardstock to the point that I end up destroying 2 or 3 sheets of paper because it gets stuck in the rollers each time. I'd like a laser printer and I'd like it to have the capability to print on watercolor paper if possible (cardstock at minimum). Does anyone have such a printer that they like?

I don't have a laser printer, but my Canon Pixma has a rear paper feeder that lets me feed individual heavier sheets of cardstock and paper one at a time. It doesn't have to go around the rollers. If you're looking for a laser printer, I recommend one that has a rear manual paper feeder option. HTH.

It's the paper feed type that you need to look for to print on thicker paper. You want it to go from the back to the front. Not underneath to the front.
I'm not sure if Lazer printers are good at printing on thicker paper. I also have a PIXMA printer and have been very happy printing on all kinds of materials. My old printer could not line up label sheets and drove me crazy.

I'm so used to laser at this point that I'm afraid to know what it costs for ink generally. I can't remember the last time I had to change the toner in my printer. Granted, it is expensive when you do.

The ink is a fraction of the cost - you fill the big tank from a squeeze bottle (don't worry, no mess, it's a genius design!) and it lasts really well. My machine came in box with full size bottles, plus an extra bottle of black. I've only had to refill my tanks once in the past 3 years (they were only half empty tho), so I only had to purchase the 3 colour inks. It was $50 from Canon for the 3 colours including shipping... and I still have some leftover for next time. Total win if you ask me! Mine rolls through the uber thick cardstocks without any problem - even the 140lb stuff that my die cut machine has problems with

My old printer could not line up label sheets and drove me crazy. i learned something new today. i destroyed half a dozen sheets of thick paper yesterday because of the front feed/go around the rollers thing. i didn't even know that back feed printers existed. how interesting! the problem is, i don't have the room. our existing printer already sits in an awkward space. moving it forward to allow for a back feed would be tough. right now, the best i can do is set the paper settings to heavy cardstock, glossy cardstock, or rough paper. then the printer rollers will move a bit slower in order to feed the paper through. it's still hit and miss though and like i said, i ruined a bunch of sheets and spent a ton of time unjamming the printer yesterday with the thick cardstock i was using.

Pixma Canon TS3322 Wireless All in One Printer - White a.co/d/5mS9JPX the link just takes me to the general site and not the printer but i looked it up on amazon. i think i would need an eco-tank printer because i do A LOT of color printing. i've had an ink jet before and the cartridge replacements were killing me. so i switched to the Canon Color Laser we currently have. the paper jams are getting more frequent so i think it's time to start shopping for a new one. thanks for the suggestion though! the price is certainly great.
