Nate Silver @natesilver538 Yes, 10% of Biden 2020 voters now say they're going to vote for Trump in 2024, as compared to <1% of Trump 2020 voters who now say they're going to vote for Biden. They are switching their votes and not just undecided. Twitter

8 months before the election, you can find a poll that will tell you whatever you want. They're not great predictors of election outcomes, especially 8 months out. Most have Trump up or down by just a few points within the margin of error. Remember the red wave that never happened on 2022? People are still fired up about abortion, Republicans are losing on that issue. If Trump gets convicted before the election, he will have even less support. The election interference case in DC could potentially start in September? October and will definitely be on the forefront and in people's minds. A reminder of why he is a danger to democracy, he can't be trusted, he's unfit for office and he should never hold office again. Trump won the Georgia primary with only 84% of the vote, after all of the other candidates dropped out. 80,000 people voted for Haley and most are not likely to vote for Trump. Trump lost Georgia by 12,000 votes in 2020 and could lose again in 2024. Trump is on a losing streak. He lost in 2018, 2020 and 2022. He is a drag on the Republican ticket and will negatively impact other candidates. The RNC will dedicate all the money and effort towards Trump's campaign and legal battles. www.reuters.com/world/us/biden-has-marginal-1-point-lead-over-trump-reutersipsos-poll-shows-2024-03-14/emersoncollegepolling.com/march-2024-national-poll-trump-45-biden-45haley-primary-voters-break-for-biden-over-trump-in-general-election/

A physical reminder that Democrats are working for the American people, Republicans are obstructing in chaos and dysfunction.

And this is why Republicans will continue to lose elections. Trump and the extremists have taken over the party. They've pushed out or silenced the moderates.

There are a million reasons to vote for Biden and against Trump. Trump is a narcissistic bully who lashes out at women, ridicules people with disabilities and insults decorated war heroes. He does not have the character, honor or integrity to be president. Just a few more reasons why he is unfit for the office

Not just one guy. Lots of former Trump supporters are speaking out saying never again. Trump has silenced or pushed out most of the Republicans who had the courage to stand up to him, but there are a few left. There's a problem when members of your own party don't support you, in spite of your bullying tactics.

Trump can be bought and can't be trusted with national secrets or classified documents. If he were an ordinary citizen, he would never receive a security clearance with all of his debt. And that's before he stole classified documents, hid them and refused to return them.

Of all of the distinctions between them it is this which separates Joe Biden from DonaldTrump the most. Joe Biden is a good man. He has a good heart. He sees the good in others. He helps them see the good in themselves. Trump is an ugly-on-the-inside bully who embodies the worst of us and emboldens the worst in others. No one can deny this. Not even MAGA. They love Trump because he hates who they hate. We are actually better than that. It might not always feel that way. But it’s still true.

Interesting that the same people that tried to claim President Biden thinks he's a Senator with an altered video are now complaining about context and Trump's statement on a bloodbath. link

Interesting that the same people that tried to claim President Biden thinks he's a Senator with an altered video are now complaining about context and Trump's statement on a bloodbath. linkHe actually said the words: "My name is Joe Biden. I work for the government in the Senate." on that video. I went back and watched it again. I watched his face this time. It appears he MIGHT have been joking, but he said the words, and was met with laughter afterwards. Not sure if it was genuine or uncomfortable laughter. But, there are at least 2, possibly 3 other times he said it. So it IS a thing with him. DESPITE your objection to showing it. ABC C-SpanInteresting that the same people that tried to use an altered video to claim Trump meant something he clearly didn't, are now complaining about using an altered video.

He left the White House. He is not the president. He accepted the results. OK, now I think you've really gone off the deep end. Inciting political violence on Jan 6 is accepting the results? The 800 times from November 2020 to January 2021 that he lied about election fraud is accepting the results? Not to mention the hundreds of times that he's lied since then.

He's been clear about not accepting election results, unless he wins. And he makes subtle and not so subtle hints of political violence. In 2016, Trump said he would accept the results, if he won. www.npr.org/2016/10/20/498713509/donald-trump-says-hell-accept-the-results-of-the-election-if-he-winsIn front of an exuberant crowd Thursday in Delaware, Ohio, Donald Trump again addressed whether he would accept the outcome of the November election.
"Ladies and gentleman I want to make a major announcement today," Trump said, continuing, "I would like to promise and pledge to all of my voters and supporters, and to all of the people of the United States, that I will totally accept the results of this great and historic presidential election ..."
But there was more. Trump then finished that sentence with, "if I win," seemingly admitting a strange logic: that a system rigged against him would be totally acceptable if that rigging ultimately worked out in his favor.
In 2016, he also said "I think you'd have riots" if he were denied the Republican nomination He never promised a peaceful transfer of power in 2020. And obviously, there was not a peaceful transfer of power. www.npr.org/2020/09/23/916221894/trump-says-he-expect-election-results-to-end-up-at-supreme-courtPresident Trump on Wednesday suggested that he might not accept the election results if he is not declared the winner in November, in response to a reporter's question about whether he would commit to a peaceful transfer of power — regardless of the outcome of the election.
"We're going to have to see what happens. You know that. I've been complaining very strongly about the ballots. And the ballots are a disaster," Trump said, alluding to his unsubstantiated arguments about widespread mail-in ballot fraud.
"Get rid of the ballots and you'll have a very peaceful — there won't be a transfer, frankly, there'll be a continuation. The ballots are out of control. You know it. In November 2020, responding to a ruling against him from the Pennsylvania Supreme Court, he said it would "induce violence" In March 2023, he warned of "potential death and destruction" if he was charged by the Manhattan DA. In August 2023, after the search of Mar-a-Lago, he said "terrible things are going to happen". He agreed with Lindsey Graham's comment that there would be "riots in the streets" if he was charged. In January, 2024, he warned of "bedlam in the country" if convicted on criminal charges. www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2024/03/18/bloodbath-aside-trumps-violent-rhetoric-is-unambiguous/He has not committed to accepting the 2024 results. He's already laying the groundwork to claim fraud and a rigged election. He's said we won't have another election unless he wins. www.nytimes.com/2024/03/16/us/politics/trump-speech-ohio.htmlIf he did not win this year’s presidential election, Mr. Trump said, “I don’t think you’re going to have another election, or certainly not an election that’s meaningful.”

And how about refusing to attend Biden’s inauguration and firing the WH staff before he left, locking the doors behind him? Claiming non-stop for the past 3.5 years that he actually did win the election? Calling the J6 terrorists “patriots” and “hostages,” and promising to pardon them if he’s re-elected? Those bastards who planned on murdering his VP and the Speaker? Did you really make that claim with a straight face, morecowbell? You are more far gone than we realized.

Are you thinking for some reason that none of us have any business disagreeing with your nonsense claims? If so, then by all means, when you start a thread, please state in giant letters in the OP that this post is for informational purposes only, and no response is needed. (There is a reason we call it the OP. There is generally expected to be discussion to follow. And you seem to be the only OP who expects no dissension.)

Nope. You posted "information" that was false. That's not, not tolerating discussion. That would be believing your lie. Maybe if I state it as "alternative facts" you can understand.

No, you refuse to accept that the majority doesn’t agree with you. You also refuse to accept what those of us on left see/believe. When that point is reached the best course of action is to acknowledge we agree to disagree and move on. Instead of doing that what you continue to do which is instead of walking away. The only real discussion you are interested in is if everyone agrees with you otherwise not so much. The reality you refuse to accept is not everybody is going to agree with you. Nor is everybody going to agree with me or anyone else who posts on this board. That’s just the way it is and one needs to understand that.

You're entitled to your opinion, but not your own set of facts. If you post something so obviously false like that, it's unreasonable to expect that no one will disagree with you. You know that if any of us posted something completely false about Trump, you would jump all over it. For someone who insists on precision and accuracy, it's ironic that you are kind of loose with the facts in your own posts. Here's a basic, well documented fact - Trump did not accept the results of the 2020 election. He tried in many ways to overturn the election. Some of us have genuinely tried to have discussions with you, but you make it challenging when you post blatantly false things or refuse to answer questions, keep repeating the same things, deflect etc.
