I heard on the radio that a lot of people will be watching today just to catch a glimpse of Taylor Swift. So, why are you watching? For me, it is the half-time show and the fact that the boys will be here.

I have never been this disinterested in a Super Bowl matchup before.
I'm watching because it is tradition and I love appetizers. Hoping the commercials are good as they havent been the past few years. Also thinking the halftime show might be decent for a change.

We’re invited to a party and I will enjoy the company & food. I’ll be honest, I am a fan of the Taylor & Travis relationship. He was not really on my radar until she started going to games but I think he seems cool as hell.

My answers this year are different than they would be most years. I picked game, commercials and halftime for this year. Most other years bonding and food would definitely have to be included.

I’m out of state visiting family. My two sons that live in the area are both deployed. So the daughters-in-law and I are doing our own little Super Bowl gathering. We’re doing wings, enchilada dip, artichoke dip, and then bananas foster for dessert. The two grandsons are 1-1/2 and 3 so they won’t care about the game at all.
We’re watching for the fun of it. The commercials, the halftime show, the Taylor-Travis romance, and all the rest… anything that isn’t football. I don’t give two hoots about the game itself.

We usually watch with friends but this year it is just DH and I which will be kind of boring. I don't even feel like making any food but DH is making queso dip and some other things.

I'm not. Have absolutely no interest. Heck, this year I'm not even making fun party type food like I usually do.
DH is cooking Jagerschnitzel and spaetzle and we will watch a movie later.

We have less than zero interest. Last Sunday, stepdaughter told her dad she probably wouldn't call today because she and her dh would be watching the Super Bowl. She watches for the half time show. My DH asked her who was playing and she said, "Usher, I think." After a beat, he said, "No, I mean what teams?" That's how tuned in this family is to team sports.

1. It's something to do while waiting for baseball season to start. 2. It's been super funny to watch fragile conservative men break down over the Travis and Taylor thing, and I want to watch in case anything happens.

There's a football game today? LOL. I am not a fan, not even the commercials can drag me in. AND I'm a Bay Area native. I'm crafting instead.

Don't really care about either team - we just watch because it's the Super Bowl and I'm in a pool from work - potential to win 500 bucks.

I always watch because I like football. Some years I start the game not caring who wins, but usually end up cheering for one team over the other (usually if the underdog has a chance). I don't have a team I cheer for, but the Chiefs are always on so I've been watching them the last few years. I love any excuse to eat food we normally don't eat for dinner--this year it's Mexican layer dip and chicken wings.

I'm a "might as well" voter. lol. Or maybe "bonding". It's just me and dh, and I have some appetizers planned (easy frozen ones from Costco since I hate to cook), and dh likes to watch it, so.... lol. I'll be surfing on my laptop or playing my online game while I "watch" so it will be fine.
We used to go to a Super Bowl party but the friends who hosted it for years decided to stop a few years ago. I liked it because it was right across the street so when I was ready to come home I could just walk out the door, and dh could stay. I always spent the first half standing around in the kitchen talking to all the other people who were just their to socialize. At halftime we'd all migrate to one of the TVs to watch the show. The second half was a toss up as to whether I'd go back in the kitchen, or go home. haha Unless it was the Steelers of course. Then I'd watch the whole game.

We had our basement redone last spring so it is an awesome place for around 20 folks to watch the game. Good food, good friends, and commercials

Usually I'd say for the commercials as I've been pretty out of the football story since Concussion. I'll 100% be watching for Taylor and the brads and chads can fuck off - if I see one more social media post of who cares denying the MILLIONS of viewers she's brought I'm going to lose my mind. You're more than happy to deny reality - but don't make it clear on social media how stupid you are.

Zero interest in football, so I won't be watching. I'm in my scraproom. DH is a Texas Tech grad so he's pulling for Mahomes and watching the game.

We are HUGE 9er fans. Don't care about the commercials (I used to like them but think they have gone downhill in recent years) and don't care about half-time as that's when I'll be fixing dinner. Snacks will be some guacamole that I made. Also, regardless of who wins, a former LSU player will get a ring for the 23rd year in a row which I've heard is an NCAA record. One of the most important things my dad taught me when I was young was all about football. He had no sons so he picked me to instill his wisdom. It has served me well.

Even if I was a Swiftie, I wouldn't watch a many hours long game just to catch a few glimpses of her.

Fair - just don't underestimate how a 20 something feels about taylor - I have a swiftie - she isn't going to watch the game and will probably do 5 things during the 4 hours - but they'll enjoy her viewership number

Because I just sat down to eat dinner with my DH and he has it on. After I’m done eating, the dog and I are out and going upstairs to watch TV.
