According to Boebert they “delivered to the American People”. Do you agree? Personally I think there are more issues for Congress to “deliver to the American People” than impeaching someone for following policy. Once again the Republicans have proven just how big of a joke they are. Ron Filipkowski…. “Boebert: “Just now, we impeached Secretary Mayorkas! Now that’s delivering for the American people and I’m proud to be a part of it!” x.com/ronfilipkowski/status/1757567956773421414?s=61&t=j45uMgNk1i8O0YllKF58nw

🤦🏻♀️
Manu Raju…
“Asked Homeland Security Chairman Mark Green what they achieved by impeaching Alejandro Mayorkas. “He gets to say he's the second cabinet secretary in the history of the United States to be impeached by Congress. I think that ought to say something,” he said. The resolution passed 214-213
Three Republicans – Ken Buck of Colorado, Mike Gallagher of Wisconsin, and Tom McClintock of California – voted with Democrats against the measure.

Keep in mind this is what our taxpayer dollars are going for…
Ron Filipkowski…
”Can’t pass a budget. Refuse to vote on Ukraine & Israel Refuse to vote on border bill Fight with each other constantly
Removed a Speaker Removed a Representative Censured a Representative Impeached a Cabinet official
This is MAGA governance. Want more of this America?”

The problem is that Republicans don't want the government to govern so stunts are totally fine with them.
Meanwhile some of us would love it if our elected representatives tried to improve our lives.

”Could have taken a vote on the bill that would make a difference at the border. Chose instead to take a show vote that’ll make no difference at the border. House Republicans are useless show ponies.”

LOLGOP…
”Impeaching someone with no evidence is probably the worst abuse of the Constitution since the same jackals nearly all voted to overturn the election hours after their candidate launched a violent coup attempt.”

Waste of time. Another goddamned circus. Mayorkas did not break the law.
There is no way for Mayorkas to detain every single migrant because we don’t have enough beds. There’s nowhere to put the overflow. This is nothing new—this has been going on for a very long time in both Republican and Democratic admins. That’s why the Biden admin resorted to electronic monitoring. Regardless of political party, one cannot expect Homeland Security to do something they cannot do because of lack of funding. If Congress wanted HS to detain every single migrant who enters, then they needed to sufficiently fund the building of more detention centers.
“Parole” was another issue for the GOP. As if Dems are the only ones who’ve used this. Those who flee countries with wars or political strife (or for any urgent humanitarian purpose) are given parole, which is temporary. Example is what Biden did for the Venezuelans. Congress authorized this option back when I was a little girl when Ellis Island was closed down! It’s not like Biden/Mayorkas woke up one morning and decided, “Hmmm, I think I’ll just parole all these people.”
Do we have an immigration problem? Yes. We’ve had an immigration problem as long as I’ve been alive. Did Mayorkas overstep his authority/break the law? No. His priorities may have differed from the prior boss, but that’s not anything suspicious or nefarious. Every new admin establishes its own priorities.

Such a waste of time....
Meanwhile, NY voters are electing a replacement for Santos. The Democrat is in the lead at the moment. A democratic pickup on this same night would be a just response.

Like I have said more than once these days. You can’t make this stuff up.
Tim O’Brien….
”The House — after intentionally sabotaging a bi-partisan bill meant to address the immigration crisis at the southern border — votes to impeach Mayorkas for…wait for it…failing to address the immigration crisis at the border.
Craven rodeo clowns.”

Isn’t that why they did it today? They think the seat is going to flip to Dem. Steve Scalise who was missing from the last vote is back and a Democrat is out with covid. So yes, Mike Johnson took advantage of a narrow window of opportunity before it slips away.

God forbid they actually do something, anything to actually serve the American people. They wouldn’t know how to do their jobs if someone printed up a pictorial manual for them. That’s why every reasonable Republican is retiring from the house. House GOP is a joke.

B.S. I hope Mayorkas gives a big F.U. to the House, walks away, and doesn’t give them one iota of info.

The response says it all…
Avyn…
”Reporter: How does impeaching Secretary Mayorkas fix the problem at the border. Rep. Norman (R-SC): Who said it was gonna fix the problem?”
Random Response….
“He sounds like a man who believes his job is making problems instead of fixing them 😂”
